- Chapter 14 -

1
Behold! A day for Yahweh is coming when your plunder will be divided in your midst.
2
For I will gather every nation against Jerusalem for battle and the city will be captured. The houses will be plundered and the women raped. Half of the city will go out into captivity, but the remainder of the people will not be cut off from the city.
3
But Yahweh will go out and wage war against those nations as when he wages war on the day of battle.
4
On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is beside Jerusalem to the east. The Mount of Olives will be split in half between the east and the west by a very great valley and half of the mountain will go back toward the north and half toward the south.
5
Then you will flee down the valley between Yahweh’s mountains, for the valley between those mountains will reach to Azal. You will flee just as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Azariah, king of Judah. Then Yahweh my God will come and all the holy ones will be with him.
6
On that day that there will be no light, but no cold or frost either.
7
On that day, a day known only to Yahweh, there will no longer be day or night, for the evening will be a time of light.
8
On that day living waters will flow out of Jerusalem. Half of them will flow to the eastern sea and half to the western sea, in summer and in winter.
9
Yahweh will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Yahweh, and his name alone.
10
All the land will be like the Arabah, from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. Jerusalem will continue to be raised up and remain in its own place, from the Benjamin Gate to the place where the first gate was, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses.
11
The people will live in Jerusalem and there will be no more complete destruction from God against them. Jerusalem will live in safety.
12
This will be the plague with which Yahweh will attack all the peoples that waged war against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot away even as they are standing on their feet. Their eyes will rot in their sockets and their tongues will rot in their mouths.
13
On that day great fear from Yahweh will come among them. Each one will seize the hand of another, and the hand of one will be raised up against the hand of another.
14
Judah will also fight against Jerusalem. They will gather the wealth of all the surrounding nations-gold, silver, and fine clothes in great abundance.
15
A plague will also be on the horses and the mules, the camels and the donkeys, and on every animal in those camps will also suffer that same plague.

All Nations Will Worship the King

(Leviticus 23:33–44; Nehemiah 8:13–18)
16
Then it will happen that all who remain in those nations that came against Jerusalem will instead go up from year to year to worship the king, Yahweh of hosts, and to keep the Festival of Shelters.
17
It will happen that if anyone from all the nations of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the king, Yahweh of hosts, then Yahweh will not bring rain on them.
18
If the nation of Egypt does not go up, then they will not receive rain. A plague from Yahweh will attack the nations that do not go up to keep the Festival of Shelters.
19
This will be the punishment for Egypt and the punishment for every nation that does not go up to keep the Festival of Shelters.
20
But on that day, the bells of the horses will say, “Set apart to Yahweh,” and the basins in Yahweh’s house will be like the bowls before the altar.
21
For every pot in Jerusalem and Judah will be set apart to Yahweh of hosts and everyone who brings a sacrifice will eat from them and boil in them. On that day traders will no longer be in the house of Yahweh of hosts.
1
Behold, a day of the LORD comes, when your plunder will be divided within you.
2
For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city will be taken, the houses rifled, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go out into captivity, and the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.
3
Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4
His feet will stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, making a very great valley. Half of the mountain will move toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5
You shall flee by the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azel. Yes, you shall flee, just like you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. The LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with you.(a)
6
It will happen in that day that there will not be light, cold, or frost.
7
It will be a unique day which is known to the LORDnot day, and not night; but it will come to pass that at evening time there will be light.
8
It will happen in that day that living waters will go out from Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the western sea. It will be so in summer and in winter.
9
The LORD will be King over all the earth. In that day the LORD will be one, and his name one.
10
All the land will be made like the Arabah, from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem; and she will be lifted up and will dwell in her place, from Benjamin’s gate to the place of the first gate, to the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananel to the king’s wine presses.
11
Men will dwell therein, and there will be no more curse; but Jerusalem will dwell safely.
12
This will be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the peoples who have fought against Jerusalem: their flesh will consume away while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will consume away in their sockets, and their tongue will consume away in their mouth.
13
It will happen in that day that a great panic from the LORD will be among them; and they will each seize the hand of his neighbor, and his hand will rise up against the hand of his neighbor.
14
Judah also will fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered together: gold, silver, and clothing, in great abundance.
15
A plague like this will fall on the horse, on the mule, on the camel, on the donkey, and on all the animals that will be in those camps.

All Nations Will Worship the King

(Leviticus 23:33–44; Nehemiah 8:13–18)
16
It will happen that everyone who is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of Armies, and to keep the feast of booths.
17
It will be that whoever of all the families of the earth doesn’t go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of Armies, on them there will be no rain.
18
If the family of Egypt doesn’t go up and doesn’t come, neither will it rain on them. This will be the plague with which the LORD will strike the nations that don’t go up to keep the feast of booths.
19
This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that don’t go up to keep the feast of booths.
20
In that day there will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, “HOLY TO THE LORD”; and the pots in the LORD’s house will be like the bowls before the altar.
21
Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to the LORD of Armies; and all those who sacrifice will come and take of them, and cook in them. In that day there will no longer be a Canaanite (b) in the house of the LORD of Armies.
