- Kapitel 13 -

(Micah 2:6–11)

Again, the word of Yahweh came to me and said,

“Son of man, prophesy against the prophets who are prophesying in Israel, and say to those who are prophesying out of their own imaginations, ’Listen to the word of Yahweh.

Lord Yahweh says this: Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit, but who have seen nothing!

Israel, your prophets have been like jackals in the wastelands.

You have not gone to the breaks in the wall around the house of Israel in order to repair it, in order to resist in battle on the day of Yahweh.

The people have false visions and make false predictions, those who say, “Such and such is Yahweh’s declaration.” Yahweh has not sent them, but they nevertheless have made people hope that their messages would come true.

Have you not had false visions and made false predictions, you who say, “Such and such is Yahweh’s declaration” when I myself have not spoken?’

Therefore, Lord Yahweh says this, ’Because you have had false visions and have told lies-therefore this is Lord Yahweh’s declaration against you:

My hand will be against the prophets who have lying visions and who make false predictions. They will not be in the assembly of my people, or enrolled in the record of the house of Israel; they must not go to the land of Israel. For you will know that I am Lord Yahweh!

Because of this, and because they led my people astray and said, “Peace!” when there is no peace, they are building a wall that they will paint with whitewash.’

Say to those who are whitewashing the wall, ’It will fall down; there will be a downpour of rain, and I will send hailstones to make it fall down, and a hurricane wind to break it down.

See, the wall will fall down. Have others not said to you, “Where is the whitewash that you put on it?”

Therefore, Lord Yahweh says this: I will bring a hurricane wind in my rage, and there will be floods of rain in my wrath! Hailstones in my rage will completely destroy it.

For I will tear down the wall that you have covered with whitewash, and I will demolish it to the ground and lay bare its foundations. So it will fall, and you will be annihilated in the middle of it all. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.

For I will annihilate in my fury the wall and those who whitewashed it. I will say to you, “The wall exists no more, nor do the people who whitewashed it-

the prophets of Israel who prophesied about Jerusalem and who had visions of peace for her. But there is no peace!-this is Lord Yahweh’s declaration.”’

Reproof of False Prophetesses

So you, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people who prophesy out of their own minds, and prophesy against them.

Say, ’Lord Yahweh says this: Woe to the women who sew magic charms onto every part of their hand and make veils for their heads of every size, used to hunt down people. Will you hunt down my people but save your own lives?

You have profaned me among my people for handfuls of barley and crumbs of bread, to kill people who should not die, and to preserve the lives of those who should not continue to live, because of your lies to my people who heard you.

Therefore, Lord Yahweh says this: I am against the magic charms that you have used to ensnare the people’s lives as if they were birds. Indeed, I will tear them from your arms; and the people whom you have trapped like birds-I will let them go free.

I will tear away your veils and rescue my people from your hand, so they will no longer be trapped in your hands. You will know that I am Yahweh.

Because you discourage the heart of the righteous person with lies, even though I did not desire his discouragement, and because you encourage instead the actions of the wicked person so that he will not turn from his way to save his life-

therefore you will no longer have false visions or continue to make predictions, for I will rescue my people out of your hand. You will know that I am Yahweh.’”

Wehe den törichten Propheten

(Micha 2,6-11)

Und es erging an mich das Wort des Herrn also:

Menschensohn! Weissage wider die Propheten Israels, die da weissagen, und sprich zu denen, welche aus ihrem eigenen Herzen weissagen: Höret das Wort des Herrn!

So spricht der Herr, Gott: Wehe über die törichten Propheten, welche ihrem eigenen Geiste folgen und nichts schauen!

Gleich Füchsen in der Wüste sind deine Propheten, o Israel!

Ihr habt euch nicht zum Widerstand erhoben und euch nicht zur Mauer für das Haus Israel entgegengestellt, um standzuhalten im Kampfe am Tage des Herrn.

Sie schauen Nichtiges und weissagen Lüge, sie, die da sagen: Es spricht der Herr! während doch der Herr sie nicht gesandt hat; und sie beharren darauf, dass die Rede in Erfüllung gehe.

Sind es nicht nichtige Gesichte, die ihr geschaut habt, nicht lügenhafte Weissagungen, die ihr ausgesprochen habt? Ihr sagt: Es spricht der Herr! während ich doch nicht geredet habe.

Deshalb spricht der Herr, Gott, also: Weil ihr Nichtiges gesprochen und Lüge geschaut habt, darum sehet, stehe ich wider euch, spricht der Herr, Gott,

und meine Hand soll über die Propheten kommen, welche Nichtiges schauen und Lüge weissagen; im Rate meines Volkes sollen sie sich nicht finden und in das Verzeichnis des Hauses Israel nicht eingeschrieben werden, und in das Land Israel nicht gelangen, und ihr sollt erkennen, dass ich, der Herr, Gott bin:

deshalb, weil sie mein Volk betrogen haben, indem sie sprachen: Friede, während doch kein Friede ist, und wenn es eine Wand baute, tünchten sie mit Lehm ohne Stroh.

Sprich zu denen, die mit Lehm ohne Beimischung tünchen, dass es abfallen wird; denn es wird ein starker Platzregen kommen und ich werde sehr große Hagelsteine darauf fallen lassen und einen Sturmwind senden, der es niederreißt.

Sehet, wenn nun die Wand eingefallen, wird man dann nicht zu euch sagen: Wo ist denn der Anwurf, mit dem ihr getüncht habt?

Darum spricht der Herr, Gott, also: Ich werde in meinem Unwillen einen Sturmwind losbrechen lassen und ein wegschwemmender Regen soll kommen durch meinen Grimm und Hagelsteine infolge meines Zornes zur Vernichtung.

Und ich werde die Wand niederreißen, die ihr ohne Beimischung getüncht habt, und sie der Erde gleich machen, dass ihr Grund bloßgelegt werde; sie wird einfallen und er wird von ihr vernichtet werden und ihr werdet erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin.

Ich will meinen Unwillen bis zur Vollendung an der Wand und an denen ausüben, die sie ohne Beimischung tünchen, und will zu euch sagen: Es ist keine Wand mehr, es sind keine Tüncher mehr da,

die Propheten Israels, welche über Jerusalem weissagen und Gesichte des Friedens für dasselbe schauen, während doch kein Friede ist, spricht der Herr, Gott.

Und du, Menschensohn! Richte dein Angesicht wider die Töchter deines Volkes, die aus ihrem eigenen Herzen als Propheten auftreten, und weissage über sie

und sprich So spricht der Herr, Gott: Wehe denen, die Polster zusammennähen unter jedes Handgelenk und Kissen unter das Haupt des Menschen jeden Alters fertigen, um Seelen zu fangen, und die den Seelen meines Volkes, wenn sie sie gefangen, das Leben verheißen!

Sie entweihen mich bei meinem Volk für eine Hand voll Gerste und für ein Stück Brot, um Seelen zu töten, welche nicht sterben sollen, und Seelen am Leben zu erhalten, welche nicht leben sollen, indem sie meinem Volke vorlügen, das Lügen glaubt.

Darum spricht der Herr, Gott, also: Sehet, ich komme über eure Polster, mit denen ihr die Seelen wie Vögel fangt, und ich werde euch dieselben von den Armen reißen und die Seelen freilassen, welche ihr gefangen habt, die Seelen, dass sie davonfliegen.

Auch werde ich eure Kopfkissen zerreißen und werde mein Volk aus eurer Hand befreien und es wird nicht mehr in euren Händen zur Beute preisgegeben sein; dann sollt ihr erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin.

Weil ihr das Herz des Gerechten, dem ich nicht weh tue, betrüglich bekümmert und den Gottlosen in seinem Tun bestärkt, so dass er nicht von seinem bösen Wege umkehrt, um zu leben;

darum sollt ihr nicht ferner Nichtiges schauen und eure Wahrsagerei soll ein Ende haben; denn ich will mein Volk aus eurer Hand retten und ihr sollt erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin.
