- Kapitel 47 -

Clap your hands, all you nations

You people all over the world, clap your hands! Shout joyfully to praise God!

Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is a king who rules over all the world!

He enabled us to defeat the armies of the people groups that lived in Canaan.

He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israelite people, whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.

God has gone up into his temple. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as he went up.

Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him! Sing to God, our king!

God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!

God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of all ethnic groups.

The rulers of those people groups gather in front of God’s people, the people descended from Abraham. God has more power than the weapons of all the kings on the earth; he is great, and all people everywhere will honor him.

Klatscht in die Hände, ihr Völker

Klatschet in die Hände, ihr Völker alle, jauchzet Gott zu mit Jubelschall!

Denn der Herr, der Allerhöchste, ist furchtbar, ein großer König über die ganze Erde.

Er zwang Völker unter unsere Macht und Nationen unter unsere Füße.

Er hat für uns seinen Erbbesitz auserwählt, die Zierde Jakobs, die er liebt.

Gott ist aufgefahren mit Jubelklang und der Herr mit Posaunenschall.

Lobsinget unserm Gott, lobsinget; lobsinget unserm Könige, lobsinget!

Denn Gott ist König über die ganze Erde, lobsinget mit Weisheit!

Gott herrscht über die Völker, Gott sitzt auf seinem heiligen Throne.

Die Fürsten der Völker versammeln sich um den Gott Abrahams, denn hoch erhoben sind die mächtigen Gewalthaber der Erde.
