- Kapitel 15 -

Who may dwell on your holy mountain?

Yahweh, who are allowed to enter your sacred tent? Who are allowed to live on your sacred mountain?

Only those who always do what is right and do not sin may do that, those who always speak the truth.

They do not slander others. They do not do to others things that are wrong, and they do not say bad things about anyone.

People who honor God hate those whom he has rejected, but they respect those who have a fearful respect for Yahweh. They do what they have promised to do even if it causes them trouble to do that.

They lend money to others without charging interest, and they never accept bribes in order to lie about people who have not done anything wrong. Those who do those things will always live in safety.

Wer darf auf deinem heiligen Berg wohnen?

Ein Psalm Davids. O Herr! wer darf weilen in deinem Zelte? Oder wer darf wohnen auf deinem heiligen Berge?

Wer unsträflich wandelt und Gerechtigkeit übt,

wer Wahrheit spricht in seinem Herzen, wer mit seiner Zunge nicht Trug übt, wer seinem Nächsten nichts Übles tut und Schmähung nicht auf seinen Nächsten häuft;

in wessen Augen der Bösewicht nichts gilt, der oder die, welche den Herrn fürchten, in Ehren hält; wer seinem Nächsten schwört und ihn nicht betrügt;

wer sein Geld nicht auf Wucher gibt und Geschenke nicht annimmt gegen den Unschuldigen; wer so handelt, wird nimmermehr wanken.
