- Kapitel 4 -

When that happens, there will be very few unmarried men. So seven unmarried women will grab one man and say, “Allow us all to marry you! We will provide our own food and clothing. All that we want is to no longer be disgraced because of not being married.”

But some day, Israel will be very beautiful and great. The people of Israel who will still be there will be very proud of the wonderful crops that will grow in their land.

All the people who will remain in Jerusalem, who did not die when the enemy destroyed Jerusalem, will belong to the Lord, all those whose names are listed among those who live there.

That will happen when the Lord washes away the guilt of the women of Jerusalem, and when he stops the violence on the streets of Jerusalem by punishing the people of Jerusalem. When he does that, it will be like a fire that burns up all the impure things.

Then Yahweh will send a cloud of smoke during the days and a flaming fire during the nights to cover Jerusalem and all those who gather there; it will be like a canopy over God’s glorious presence in the city.

It will shelter the people from the sun during the daytime and protect them when there are windstorms and rain.

Und sieben Weiber werden in jener Zeit einen Mann festhalten und sprechen: Wir wollen unser eigenes Brot essen und uns mit unsern eigenen Gewändern kleiden, nur lass uns nach deinem Namen heißen und nimm unsere Schmach hinweg!

Die Erneuerung von Zion

An jenem Tage wird der Sprosse des Herrn herrlich und ruhmvoll sein und die Frucht des Landes hocherhaben und Frohlocken denen, die aus Israel gerettet sind.

Und es wird geschehen: Jeder, der übriggelassen ist in Sion und übriggeblieben in Jerusalem, wird heilig genannt werden, jeder, der zum Leben in Jerusalem eingeschrieben ist.

Wenn der Herr den Schmutz der Töchter Sions abgewaschen und die Blutschuld Jerusalems aus ihm weggetilgt hat durch den Geist des Gerichtes und durch den Geist der Feuerglut,

dann wird der Herr über den ganzen Raum des Berges Sion und wo er angerufen wird, eine Wolke bei Tage schaffen und Rauch und leuchtenden Feuerglanz bei Nacht; denn allem Herrlichen wird Schutz zuteil werden.

Und ein Gezelt wird da sein zum Schatten bei Tage gegen die Hitze und zur Zuflucht und zum Verbergen vor Unwetter und Regen.
