- Kapitel 6 -

1
My fellow believers, if you discover that a brother or sister is doing wrong, those of you whom God’s Spirit is directing should gently correct that person. Furthermore, as you correct another person, you should be very careful so that you do not sin either.

When there are brothers or sisters who have problems, you should help each other. By doing that, you will do what Messiah commands.

I say this because people who think more highly of themselves than they should merely fool themselves.

Instead, each of you should constantly test and decide if you can approve what you yourself are doing and thinking. You can be proud because what you yourself have done is good, and not because what you have done is better than what anyone else has done.

I say this because you must each perform your own individual tasks.

If fellow believers teach you the truth about God, then you should share your possessions with them.
7
You should not deceive yourselves. Remember that no one can deceive God. Just like a farmer will harvest exactly the kind of crop that he plants, God will pay back people according to what they have done.

God will punish eternally those who commit the sins that they wish to. But those who please God’s Spirit will live forever with God because of what God’s Spirit does for them.
9
But we should not tire of doing what pleases God, because eventually, at the time that God has determined, we will receive a reward, if we do not stop doing the good things that we have been doing.

So whenever we have opportunities, we should do what is good to all people. But especially we should do what is good to all our fellow believers.

Final Warnings and Blessings

I am now writing this last part of this letter to you in my own handwriting. Notice the large letters with which I am now writing.

Some Jewish believers want to circumcise you so that the other Jews will think highly of them for making converts to Judaism. But they are doing this just so that the others will not persecute them for believing that Messiah died on the cross to save us.

The reason that I say this is that not even those people keep the law of God; instead, they want to circumcise you so they can boast that they have made more converts to the Jewish faith.

I myself, however, desire very much never to boast about anything like that. The only thing I will be proud about is our Lord Jesus Christ and his dying on the cross. When he died on the cross, he made everything the unbelievers wish for to be nothing in my sight, and he made what I wish for to be nothing in their sight.

I will be very proud about that, because God does not care whether people are circumcised or not. Instead, he cares only that he changes them into new people.

May God give peace and act kindly toward all who live like this. These believers are the true nation of Israel that belongs to God!

I say that people have persecuted me for declaring the truth about Jesus, and as a result I have scars on my body, unlike your new teachers. So let no one trouble me about these matters again!

My fellow believers, may our Lord Jesus Christ kindly be good to all of you. Amen!

Tragt und teilt die Lasten

Brüder! wenn einmal ein Mensch von irgend einer Sünde übereilt worden ist, so sollt ihr, die ihr geistig gesinnt seid, einen solchen im Geiste der Sanftmut zurechtweisen; auch habe acht auf dich selbst, damit nicht auch du versucht werdest.

Traget einer des andern Last, und so werdet ihr das Gesetz Christi erfüllen.
3
Denn wenn Jemand etwas zu sein glaubt, da er doch nichts ist, so betrügt er sich selbst.
4
Ein jeder aber prüfe sein eigenes Tun, und so wird er nur in sich selbst Ruhm haben, und nicht in dem andern;
5
den ein jeder wird seine eigene Last tragen.

Großzügig sein und Gutes tun

Wer aber unterwiesen wird in Worte, teile dem, der ihn unterweist, von allem Guten mit.
7
Täuschet euch nicht! Gott lässt seiner nicht spotten.
8
Denn was der Mensch säet, das wird er auch ernten. Wer auf sein Fleisch säet, wird von dem Fleische auch Verderben ernten; wer aber auf den Geist säet, der wird von dem Geiste ewiges Leben ernten.
9
Lasset uns also Gutes tun und nicht ermüden; denn zu seiner Zeit werden wir ernten, wenn wir nicht nachlassen.
10
Darum, so lange wir Zeit haben, lasset uns Gutes tun an allen, besonders aber an den Glaubensgenossen.

Ruhm nur durch das Kreuz

Sehet, mit welchen Buchstaben ich euch mit eigener Hand geschrieben habe!

Denn alle, die dem Fleische nach gefallen wollen, diese nötigen euch, euch beschneiden zu lassen, nur damit sie nicht um des Kreuzes Christi willen Verfolgung zu leiden haben.
13
Denn auch die, welche sich beschneiden lassen, halten das Gesetz nicht; aber sie wollen, dass ihr euch beschneiden lasset, damit sie sich eures Fleisches rühmen können.
14
Von mir aber sei es fern mich zu rühmen, außer in dem Kreuze unsers Herrn Jesus Christus, durch welchen mir die Welt gekreuzigt ist, und ich der Welt.

Denn in Christus Jesus gilt weder Beschneidung etwas, noch Unbeschnittensein, sondern ein neues Geschöpf.

Segen und Plädoyer

Und alle, welche dieser Richtschnur folgen, Friede über sie und Barmherzigkeit, und über das Israel Gottes!
17
Fernerhin falle mir Niemand lästig; denn ich trage die Wundmale des Herrn Jesus an meinem Leibe.
18
Die Gnade unsers Herrn Jesus Christus sei mit eurem Geiste, Brüder! Amen.
