God's New Revelations

The Book of Psalms

Literal Standard Version :: World English Bible Catholic

- Chapter 13 -

How long, O Lord?

1
TO THE OVERSEER. A PSALM OF DAVID. Until when, O YHWH, || Do You forget me forever? Until when do You hide Your face from me?
2
Until when do I set counsels in my soul, || [With] sorrow in my heart daily? Until when is my enemy exalted over me?
3
Look attentively; Answer me, O YHWH, my God, || Enlighten my eyes, lest I sleep in death,
4
Lest my enemy say, “I overcame him,” || My adversaries rejoice when I am moved.
5
And I have trusted in Your kindness, || My heart rejoices in Your salvation.
6
I sing to YHWH, || For He has conferred benefits on me!

How long, O Lord?

1
How long, LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
2
How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart every day? How long shall my enemy triumph over me?
3
Behold, and answer me, LORD, my God. Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep in death;
4
lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed against him;” lest my adversaries rejoice when I fall.
5
But I trust in your loving kindness. My heart rejoices in your salvation.
6
I will sing to the LORD, because he has been good to me.
