- Kapitel 1 -

(Isaiah 7:17–25)
1
This is the word of Yahweh that came to Micah the Morashtite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, the word that he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

Listen, all you peoples. Listen, earth, and all that is in you. Let Lord Yahweh be a witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.
3
Look, Yahweh comes out of his place; he will come down and tread on the high places on the earth.
4
The mountains will melt under him; the valleys will break apart like wax before fire, like waters that are poured down a steep place.
5
All this is because of the rebellion of Jacob, and because of the sins of the house of Israel. What was the reason for Jacob’s rebellion? Was it not Samaria? What was the reason for the high places of Judah? Was it not Jerusalem?

“I will make Samaria a heap of ruins in the field, like a place for planting vineyards. I will pull her building stones into the valley; I will uncover her foundations.
7
All her carved figures will be crushed to pieces; and all the gifts to her will be burned up. All her idols I will make a ruin. For from the gifts to her prostitution she gathered them, and as a prostitute’s pay they will return.”

Weeping and Mourning

For this reason I will lament and wail; I will go barefoot and naked; I will wail like the jackals and mourn like owls.

For her wound is incurable, for it has come to Judah. It has reached the gate of my people, to Jerusalem.

Do not tell about it in Gath; do not weep at all. At Beth Leaphrah I roll myself in the dust.

Pass by, inhabitants of Shaphir, in nakedness and shame. The inhabitants of Zaanan do not come out. Beth Ezel mourns, for their protection is taken away.

For the inhabitants of Maroth wait anxiously for good news, because disaster has come down from Yahweh to the gates of Jerusalem.
13
Harness the chariot to the team of horses, inhabitants of Lachish. You, Lachish, were the beginning of sin for the daughter of Zion, for the transgressions of Israel were found in you.
14
So you will give a parting gift to Moresheth Gath; the town of Achzib will disappoint the kings of Israel.
15
I will again bring a conqueror to you, inhabitants of Mareshah; the splendor of Israel will come to Adullam.
16
Shave your head and cut off your hair for the children in whom you delight. Make yourself as bald as eagles, for your children will go into exile from you.

Das kommende Gericht über Israel

Höret, ihr Völker alle, merke auf, Erde und was sie erfüllt! Gott, der Herr, sei Zeuge wider euch, der Herr von seinem heiligen Tempel her!

Denn sehet, der Herr wird ausziehen von seiner Stätte und herabsteigen und über die Höhen der Erde dahinschreiten.
4
Dann werden die Berge unter ihm zerstieben und die Täler sich spalten wie Wachs vor dem Feuer, wie Wasser, das von der Höhe hinabstürzt.

Das alles geschieht um Jakobs Frevel willen und um der Sünden des Hauses Israel willen. Welches ist Jakobs Frevel? Nicht Samaria? Und welches die Höhen Judas? Nicht Jerusalem?

So will ich denn Samaria einem Steinhaufen auf dem Felde gleichmachen, wenn ein Weinberg gepflanzt wird, und ich will seine Steine in das Tal hinabwerfen und seine Grundfesten bloßlegen.

Alle seine Schnitzbilder sollen zerschlagen und all sein Buhllohn im Feuer verbrannt werden, über alle seine Götzen will ich Verderben bringen; denn aus Buhllohn sind sie zusammengebracht und zu Buhllohn sollen sie wieder werden.

Trauer um Israel und Juda

Darum will ich klagen und jammern, beraubt und bloß einhergehen, Wehklage anstellen wie die Drachen und Klage wie die Strauße.

Denn unheilbar ist seine Wunde, sie reicht bis nach Juda, bis an das Tor meines Volkes bis nach Jerusalem.

Verkündet es nicht zu Geth, klaget nicht mit Tränen, im Hause des Staubes bestreuet euch mit Staub!
11
Ziehe hin, Bewohnerschaft der Schmuckstadt! mit Schande bedeckt; nicht zieht aus die Bewohnerin von Zug, Klage ererbt von euch das Nachbarhaus, das sicherwohnende.

Denn krank am Guten ist die Bewohnerin von Bitterach, weil Unheil von dem Herrn auf Jerusalems Tor herabgefahren.

Der Wagen Getöse erschreckt die Bewohnerin von Lachis, sie, die der Sünde der Tochter Sion zum Anstoße war, dass in dir sich Israels Verschuldungen fanden.
14
Darum wird Er Boten nach dem Erbe Geths entsenden, das Lügenhaus wird zum Trug für die Könige Israels.
15
Noch werde ich dir einen Erben zuführen, Bewohnerin von Maresa! bis nach Odollam wird kommen Israels Herrlichkeit.
16
Schere dir Haar und Bart um deiner geliebten Kinder willen, mache deine Glatze breit wie die eines Adlers denn gefangen sind sie von dir weggeführt.
