- Kapitel 67 -

May God make his face shine upon us

God, act mercifully toward us and bless us; act kindly toward us.
2
Do this in order that everyone in the world may know what you want them to do, and the people of all nations may know that you have the power to save them.
3
God, I desire that all people groups may praise you; I want them all to praise you!
4
I desire that the people of all nations will be glad and sing joyfully because you judge the people groups equally, and you guide all the nations in the world.
5
God, I desire that the people groups may praise you; I want them all to praise you!
6
Good crops have grown on our land; God, our God, has blessed us.
7
Because God has blessed us, I desire that all people everywhere on the earth may have an awesome respect for him.

Möge Gott sein Angesicht auf uns leuchten lassen

Zum Ende, unter den Liedern, ein Loblied Davids.

Gott erbarme sich unser und segne uns, er lasse sein Angesicht über uns leuchten und erbarme sich unser;
3
damit wir auf Erden deinen Weg, unter allen Völkern dein Heil erkennen.

Es sollen dich die Völker preisen, o Gott! alle Völker sollen dich preisen.
5
Es sollen sich freuen und jubeln die Völker, denn du richtest die Völker in Gerechtigkeit und leitest die Nationen auf Erden.
6
Es sollen dich die Völker preisen, o Gott! alle Völker sollen dich preisen.
7
Das Land bringt seine Frucht. Es segne uns Gott, unser Gott,
8
es segne uns Gott, und alle Enden der Erde sollen ihn fürchten!
