- Kapitel 4 -

Answer me when I call!

God, answer me when I pray to you. You are the one who shows people that I am right to trust in you. You rescued me when I was in great trouble. Act mercifully toward me and listen to me while I pray.

How long will you people shame me instead of honoring me? You people love to falsely accuse me.

All those who honor Yahweh, he has chosen them to belong to him. Yahweh will listen to me when I pray to him.

You should be afraid of Yahweh, but do not allow your fear to cause you to sin. While you lie on your bed, silently examine what you are thinking in your inner being.

Also, offer to Yahweh the proper sacrifices and continue trusting in him.

Some people ask, “Will someone please bring good things to us?” But I say, “Yahweh, continue to act kindly toward us.
7
You have caused me to be very happy; I am happier than people who have harvested a great amount of grain and grapes.
8
It is in peace and security that I will lie down at night and sleep soundly because I know that it is only you, Yahweh, who will keep me safe.”

Wenn ich rufe, erhört mich der Gott meiner Gerechtigkeit, aus der Drangsal schaffst du mir Befreiung. Erbarme dich meiner und erhöre mein Gebet!

Ihr Menschenkinder! wie lange bleibt noch euer Herz verhärtet? Warum liebt ihr Eitles und sinnet auf Lüge?

Wisset, dass der Herr Wunder getan an seinem Heiligen, der Herr wird mich erhören, wenn ich zu ihm rufe.

Wenn ihr zürnt, so sündiget nicht; was ihr in euren Herzen sprecht, bereuet auf eurer Lagerstatt.

Bringet rechte Opfer und vertrauet auf den Herrn! Viele sagen: Wer wird uns Gutes schauen lassen?

Es strahlt wie ein Panier über uns die Leuchte deines Angesichtes, o Herr! du gibst mir Freude in mein Herz.

Sie wurden reich von der Frucht des Getreides, des Weines und Öles.
9
In Frieden zumal lege ich mich nieder und ruhe,

denn du, o Herr! hast mich vollkommen fest gestellt in Zuversicht.
