- Kapitel 29 -

(Leviticus 8:1–13)
1
“Do the following things to dedicate Aaron and his sons to serve me by being priests. Select one young bull and two rams that do not have any defects.
2
Bake three kinds of bread using finely ground wheat flour without yeast. Bake some buns that do not have any olive oil in them, bake some buns that have olive oil in the dough, and bake some thin wafers that will be smeared with olive oil after they are baked.

Put them in a basket and offer them to me when you sacrifice the young bull and the two rams.

Take Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the sacred tent, and wash them with water.
5
Then put the special clothes on Aaron, the long-sleeved tunic, the robe that will be worn underneath the sacred apron, the sacred apron, the sacred pouch, and the sash.
6
Put the turban on his head, and fasten to the turban the ornament that has the words ‘Dedicated to Yahweh’ engraved on it.
7
Then take the oil and pour some on his head to dedicate him.
8
Then bring his sons and put the long-sleeved tunics on them.
9
Put the sashes around their waists and the caps on their heads. That is the ritual by which you are to dedicate them to be priests. Aaron and his male descendants must serve me by being priests forever.

The Order of the Sacrifices

(Leviticus 8:22–36)

Then bring the young bull to the entrance of the sacred tent. Tell Aaron and his sons to put their hands on the head of the young bull.
11
Then, while they are doing that, kill the young bull by slitting its throat and catch the blood in a bowl.
12
Take some of that blood with your finger and smear it on the projections of the altar. Throw the rest of the blood against the base of the altar.
13
Take all the fat that covers the inner organs of the young bull, the fatty covering of the liver and the two kidneys with the fat on them, and burn all these on the altar as an offering to me.
14
But the meat of the young bull and its hide and intestines must be burned outside the camp. That will be an offering for your sins.

Then select one of the rams, and tell Aaron and his sons to put their hands on its head.
16
Then kill the ram by slitting its throat. Catch some of the blood and sprinkle it upon all four sides of the altar.
17
Then cut the ram into pieces. Wash its inner organs and its legs, and put those with the head.
18
Then burn them completely on the altar with the rest of the ram. That will be a burnt offering to me, Yahweh, and the smell will please me.
19
Take the other ram that was selected for these rituals, and tell Aaron and his sons to put their hands on its head.
20
Then kill the ram by slitting its throat, and catch some of the blood in a bowl. Smear some of the blood on the lobe of the right ears of Aaron and his sons, and on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. Throw the rest of the blood against the four sides of the altar.

Wipe up some of the blood that is on the altar, mix it with some of the oil for anointing, and sprinkle it on Aaron and his clothes, and on his sons and their clothes. By doing this, you will dedicate them and their clothes to me.

Also, cut off the ram’s fat, its fat tail, and the fat that covers the inner organs, the covering of the liver, the two kidneys with the fat on them, and the right thigh. (This ram is for setting Aaron and his sons apart for me as priests.)

From the basket, also take one of each of the kinds of bread that was baked without yeast, one made with no oil, one with oil, and one thin wafer.
24
Put all these things in the hands of Aaron and his sons. Then tell them to lift them up high to dedicate them to me.
25
Then take them from their hands and burn them on the altar, on top of the other things that were placed there. That also will be an offering to me, and its smell will please me.
26
Then take the breast of the second ram that was killed, and lift it up high for an offering to me. But then this part of the animal will be for you to eat.
27
Set apart for me the ram’s breast that you lifted high to offer to me. Also set apart for me the ram’s thigh that you presented to me, both of these pieces that came from the ram that was slaughtered when you set apart for me Aaron and his sons as priests.
28
In the future, whenever the Israelite people present to me, Yahweh, offerings to restore fellowship with each other, the breast and the thigh of animals that they present to me will be for Aaron and his male descendants to eat.
29
After Aaron dies, the special clothes that he wore will belong to his sons. They are to wear those clothes when they are set apart to become priests.
30
Aaron’s son who becomes priest and enters the sacred tent and performs rituals in the holy place must stay in the sacred tent, wearing these special clothes, for seven days.

Food for the Priests

Take the meat of the other ram that was sacrificed to set apart Aaron and his sons, and boil it in the courtyard.
32
After it is cooked, Aaron and his sons must eat it, along with the bread that is left in the basket, at the entrance to the sacred tent.
33
They must eat the meat of the ram that was sacrificed to cover your sins when they were dedicated to do this work. They are the only ones who are permitted to eat this meat. Those who are not priests are not allowed to eat it because it is reserved for the priests.

If any of this meat or some of the bread is not eaten that night, no one is permitted to eat any of it the next day. It must be completely burned because it is sacred.
35
These are the rituals that you must follow during those seven days when you dedicate Aaron and his sons for this work. You must do all that I have commanded you.
36
Each of those seven days you must also sacrifice a young bull for an offering to me in order that I may forgive sins. Also you must make another offering to make the altar pure in my sight. You must also anoint the altar with olive oil to set it apart.
37
Perform these rituals every day for seven days to set apart the altar and make it pure. Then the altar will be most holy, and whatever touches it must be treated as holy.

The Daily Offerings

(Numbers 28:1–8)

You must also sacrifice lambs and burn them on the altar. Each of those seven days you must sacrifice two lambs.
39
One lamb must be sacrificed in the morning, and one must be sacrificed in the evening.
40
With the first lamb, also offer two liters of finely ground wheat flour mixed with a liter of the best kind of olive oil, and one liter of wine as an offering.
41
In the evening, when you sacrifice the other lamb, offer the same amounts of flour, olive oil, and wine as you did in the morning. This will be an offering to me, Yahweh, that will be burned, and its smell will please me.
42
You and your descendants must continue making these offerings to me, Yahweh, throughout all future generations. You must offer them at the entrance to the sacred tent. That is where I will meet with you and speak to you.
43
That is where I will meet with the Israelite people, and the brilliant light of my presence will cause that place to be holy.
44
I will dedicate the sacred tent and the altar. I will also dedicate Aaron and his sons to serve me by being priests.

God Will Dwell among the People

45
I will live among the Israelite people, and I will be their God.
46
They will know that I am Yahweh God, the one who brought them out of Egypt in order that I might live among them. I am Yahweh, the God whom they worship.”

Aaron und seine Söhne geweiht

(3. Mose 8,1-13)

Aber auch dies sollst du tun, damit sie mir zu Priestern geweiht werden. Nimm einen jungen Stier von der Herde, und zwei fehlerlose Widder,

ungesäuerte Brote, ungesäuerte, mit Öl angemachte Kuchen, und ungesäuerte, mit Öl bestrichene Fladen; aus feinem Weizenmehl mache alles.

Und lege sie in einen Korb, und bringe sie in demselben dar; dazu das junge Rind und die beiden Widder.

Und Aaron und seine Söhne stelle an den Eingang des Zeltes des Zeugnisses. Alsdann wasche den Vater mit seinen Söhnen mit Wasser,
5
und lege Aaron seine Kleider an, das ist das linnene Unterkleid, das Obergewand, das Schulterkleid und den Brustschmuck, und schnüre dies mit der Binde fest.
6
Und setze die priesterliche Kopfbedeckung auf sein Haupt; und die heilige Platte an den Kopfbund,
7
und gieße das Salböl auf sein Haupt: und auf solche Weise soll er geweiht werden.
8
Führe auch seine Söhne herzu, und lasse sie linnene Kleider anlegen, und gürte sie mit einem Gürtel,
9
nämlich Aaron und seine Söhne, und setze ihnen die priesterliche Kopfbedeckung auf; und sie sollen meine Priester sein zu ewigem Dienste. Wenn du ihre Hände geweiht hast,

so bringe auch das junge Rind vor das Zelt des Zeugnisses. Aaron und seine Söhne mögen ihre Hände auf den Kopf desselben legen;
11
sodann schlachte es vor dem Angesichte des Herrn, am Eingange des Zeltes des Zeugnisses.
12
Und nimm etwas von dem Blute des Farren und streiche es mit deinem Finger an die Hörner des Altares, das übrige Blut aber gieße am Fuße des Altares auf den Boden.
13
Alsdann nimm alles Fett, welches die Eingeweide bedeckt, und das Netz über der Leber, dazu die beiden Nieren, mit dem Fette auf denselben, und bringe es auf dem Altare als Brandopfer dar.
14
Das Fleisch des Farren aber und sein Fell und seinen Unrat verbrenne außerhalb des Lagers, weil es ein Sündopfer ist.
15
Nimm auch den einen Widder und lass Aaron und seine Söhne ihre Hände auf sein Haupt legen.
16
Sodann schlachte ihn, nimm etwas von seinem Blute, und gieße es rings um den Altar.
17
Den Widder selbst aber schneide in Stücke, wasche seine Eingeweide und seine Füße, und lege sie auf das zerteilte Fleisch und auf seinen Kopf.
18
Nun bringe den ganzen Widder als Brandopfer auf dem Altare dar; es ist ein Opfer für den Herrn, ein wohlgefälliger Opfergeruch für den Herrn.
19
Nimm auch den andern Widder und lass Aaron und seine Söhne ihre Hände auf den Kopf desselben legen.
20
Alsdann schlachte ihn, und nimm etwas von seinem Blute, und streiche es an das rechte Ohrläppchen Aarons und seiner Söhne, und auf den Daumen ihrer rechten Hand und auf die rechte große Zehe, und gieße das Blut auf den Altar ringsum.
21
Sodann nimm etwas von dem Blute, das auf dem Altare ist, und von dem Salböle, und besprenge Aaron und seine Kleider, und seine Söhne und ihre Kleider. Und wenn sie so samt ihren Kleidern geweiht sind,
22
so nimm das Fett von dem Widder, den Schwanz, und das Fett, welches die Eingeweide bedeckt, das Netz über der Leber, und die beiden Nieren samt dem Fette über denselben, dazu das rechte Schulterstück; denn es ist ein Widder der Einweihung,
23
dazu ein Rundbrot, einen mit Öl angemachten Brotkuchen, und einen Fladen aus dem Korbe mit den ungesäuerten Broten, der vor dem Angesichte des Herrn steht;
24
und gib dies alles Aaron und seinen Söhnen in die Hände, und weihe sie durch Aufheben vor dem Herrn.
25
Darnach nimm alles aus ihren Händen und zünde es auf dem Altare zum Brandopfer an, zum wohlgefälligen Geruche vor dem Angesichte des Herrn; denn es ist sein Opfer.
26
Und nimm die Brust von dem Widder, mit dem Aaron geweiht wurde, und weihe sie durch Aufheben vor dem Herrn, und dann werde sie dir zu Teil.
27
Heilige auch die geweihte Brust, und das Schulterstück, das du von dem Widder getrennt hast,
28
durch den Aaron und seine Söhne geweiht worden sind, und sie sollen der Anteil Aarons und seiner Söhne von den Söhnen Israels sein, nach ewig geltendem Rechte; denn es sind die Vorgaben und Erstlinge von ihren Friedopfern, die sie dem Herrn darbringen.

Die heilige Kleidung aber, deren sich Aaron bedienen wird, sollen seine Söhne nach ihm erhalten, dass sie darin gesalbt und ihre Hände geweiht werden.
30
Sieben Tage soll sich derjenige derselben bedienen, der unter seinen Söhnen an seiner Statt Hoherpriester wird und der in das Zelt des Zeugnisses eintritt, um im Heiligtume den Dienst zu verrichten.
31
Den Widder der Einweihung aber nimm und koche sein Fleisch an heiligem Orte;
32
und Aaron und seine Söhne sollen es essen. Und ebenso sollen sie die Brote, die im Korbe sind, im Vorhofe des Zeltes des Zeugnisses verzehren,
33
auf dass es ein Versöhnungsopfer sei und die Hände der Opfernden geheiligt werden. Ein Fremder soll nichts davon essen, denn sie sind geheiligt.
34
Wenn von dem geweihtem Fleische oder von den Broten etwas bis zum Morgen übrigbleibt, so verbrenne das Übriggebliebene mit Feuer; es darf nicht gegessen werden, denn es ist geheiligt.
35
Alles, was ich dir befohlen habe, wirst du an Aaron und seinen Söhnen tun. Sieben Tage sollst du ihre Hände weihen
36
und an jedem Tage einen jungen Stier als Sündopfer zur Versöhnung darbringen. Auch sollst du den Altar entsündigen, wenn du das Sühnopfer darauf darbringst, und ihn salben, um ihn zu weihen.
37
Sieben Tage sollst du die Sühnhandlung an dem Altare vornehmen und ihn weihen, so wird er hochheilig werden; jeder, der ihn anrührt, wird geheiligt werden.

Die täglichen Opfergaben

(4. Mose 28,1-8)

Folgendes ist es, was du auf den Altar legen sollst: Zwei einjährige Lämmer Tag für Tag, allezeit,
39
ein Lamm am Morgen, und das andere am Abend,
40
und ein Zehntel feinstes Mehl, mit gestoßenem Öle, dem Vierteil eines Hin, gemischt, und Wein zum Trankopfer nach demselben Maße, je zu einem Lamme.
41
Das andere Lamm aber sollst du gegen Abend nach der Weise des Morgenopfers und nach dem, was wir gesagt, darbringen, zu wohlgefälligem Geruche.
42
Dies ist das Opfer für den Herrn, zu beständiger Darbringung von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht an dem Eingange des Zeltes des Zeugnisses vor dem Herrn, wohin ich treten will, dort mit dir zu reden.
43
Daselbst werde ich auch den Söhnen Israels meine Weisungen geben, und der Altar wird durch meine Herrlichkeit geheiligt werden.
44
Ich will auch das Zelt des Zeugnisses mit dem Altare heiligen und Aaron mit seinen Söhnen, dass sie mir als Priester dienen.
45
Und ich werde inmitten der Söhne Israels wohnen und werde ihr Gott sein,
46
und sie werden erkennen, dass ich der Herr ihr Gott bin, der sie aus dem Lande Ägypten geführt hat, um unter ihnen zu weilen, ich der Herr, ihr Gott.
