- Kapitel 62 -

For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.

Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord , and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi–bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.(a)

For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.(c)

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord , keep not silence,(d)

And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.(e)

The Lord hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:(f)

But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the Lord ; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.(g)

And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord : and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

Die Gewissheit der Rettung Zions

Um Sions willen will ich nicht schweigen und um Jerusalems willen nicht rasten, bis wie Sonnenglanz sein Gerechter aufgeht, und sein Heiland wie eine Fackel leuchtet.

Dann werden die Völker deinen Gerechten sehen und alle Könige deinen Herrlichen und man wird dich mit einem neuen Namen nennen, welchen des Herrn Mund aussprechen wird.

Und du wirst eine Ehrenkrone in der Hand des Herrn sein und ein Diadem des Königtums in der Hand deines Gottes.

Und fernerhin wirst du nicht mehr Verlassene heißen und dein Land nicht mehr Verwüstetes, sondern man wird dich nennen: „Meine Wonne an ihr“ und dein Land: „Das bewohnte“, denn der Herr hat sein Wohlgefallen an dir und dein Land wird bewohnt sein.

Denn wie der Jüngling mit der Jungfrau wohnt, so werden deine Kinder in dir wohnen; und wie sich der Bräutigam freut über die Braut, so wird sich dein Gott über dich freuen.

Über deine Mauern, Jerusalem! habe ich Wächter bestellt; den ganzen Tag, die ganze Nacht, nimmer werden sie schweigen! Die ihr des Herrn gedenket, schweiget nicht

und lasset ihm keine Ruhe, bis er Jerusalem festgründe und zum Lobpreise mache auf Erden!

Der Herr hat geschworen bei seiner Rechten und bei dem Arme seiner Macht: Nicht will ich fernerhin deinen Weizen deinen Feinden zur Speise geben und nicht sollen Fremdlinge den Wein trinken, um den du gearbeitet hast.

Denn die ihn einernten, sollen ihn auch essen und den Herrn loben; und die den Wein einlesen, sollen ihn auch in meinen heiligen Vorhöfen trinken.

Ziehet fort, ziehet fort durch die Tore, bereitet dem Volke den Weg, machet den Pfad eben, entfernet die Steine und richtet ein Panier auf den Völkern zu!

Sehet, der Herr lässt es kund werden an den Grenzen der Erde. Saget der Tochter Sion: Siehe, dein Heiland kommt; siehe, sein Lohn ist mit ihm und sein Werk vor ihm!

Und man wird sie heiliges Volk, Erlöste des Herrn nennen; du aber wirst die gesuchte Stadt und die Nichtverlassene heißen.
