I have brought my soul to rest

A SONG OF THE ASCENTS. BY DAVID. YHWH, my heart has not been haughty, || Nor have my eyes been high, || Nor have I walked in great things, || And in things too wonderful for me.

Have I not compared, and kept my soul silent, || As a weaned one by its mother? As a weaned one by me [is] my soul.

Israel waits on YHWH, || From now on, and for all time!

I have brought my soul to rest

LORD, my heart isn’t arrogant, nor my eyes lofty; nor do I concern myself with great matters, or things too wonderful for me.

Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.

Israel, hope in the LORD, from this time forward and forever more.
