- Kapitel 11 -

The people who dwell in Jerusalem

And the rulers of the people dwelt in Ierusalem: the other people also cast lottes, to bring one out of ten to dwel in Ierusalem the holy citie, and nine partes to be in the cities.

And the people thanked all the men that were willing to dwell in Ierusalem.

These now are the chiefe of the prouince, that dwelt in Ierusalem, but in the cities of Iudah, euery one dwelt in his owne possession in their cities of Israel, the Priestes and the Leuites, and the Nethinims, and the sonnes of Salomons seruants.

And in Ierusalem dwelt certaine of the children of Iudah, and of the children of Beniamin. Of the sonnes of Iudah, Athaiah, the sonne of Vziiah, the sonne of Zechariah, the sonne of Amariah, the sonne of Shephatiah, the sonne of Mahaleel, of the sonnes of Perez,

And Maaseiah the sonne of Baruch, the sonne of Col Hozeh, the sonne of Hazaiah, the sonne of Adaiah, the sonne of Ioiarib, the sonne of Zechariah, the sonne of Shiloni.

All the sonnes of Perez that dwelt at Ierusalem, were foure hundreth, three score and eight valiant men.

These also are the sonnes of Beniamin, Sallu, the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Ioed, the sonne of Pedaiah, the sonne of Kolaiah, the sonne of Maaseiah, the sonne of Ithiel, the sonne of Ieshaiah.

And after him Gabai, Sallai, nine hundreth and twentie and eight.

And Ioel the sonne of Zichri was gouernour ouer them: and Iudah, the sonne of Senuah was the second ouer the citie:

Of the Priestes, Iedaiah, the sonne of Ioiarib, Iachin.

Seraiah, the sonne of Hilkiah, the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Zadok, the sonne of Meraioth, the sonne of Ahitub was chiefe of the house of God.

And their brethren that did the worke in the Temple, were eight hundreth, twenty and two: and Adaiah, the sonne of Ieroham, the sonne of Pelaliah, the sonne of Amzi, the sonne of Zechariah, the sonne of Pashur, the sonne of Malchiah:

And his brethren, chiefe of the fathers, two hundreth and two and fourtie: and Amashsai the sonne of Azareel, the sonne of Ahazai, the sonne of Meshilemoth, the sonne of Immer:

And their brethren valiant men, an hundreth and eight and twentie: and their ouerseer was Zabdiel the sonne of Hagedolim.

And of the Leuites, Shemaiah, the sonne of Hashub, the sonne of Azrikam, the sonne of Hashabiah, the sonne of Bunni.

And Shabbethai, and Iozabad of the chiefe of the Leuites were ouer the workes of the house of God without.

And Mattaniah, the sonne of Micha, the sonne of Zabdi, the sonne of Asaph was the chiefe to begin the thankesgiuing and prayer: and Bakbukiah the second of his brethren, and Abda, the sonne of Shammua, the sonne of Galal, the sonne of Ieduthun.

All the Leuites in the holy citie were two hundreth foure score and foure.

And the porters Akkub, Talmon and their brethren that kept the gates, were an hundreth twentie and two.

And the residue of Israel, of the Priests, and of the Leuites dwelt in al the cities of Iudah, euery one in his inheritance.

And the Nethinims dwelt in the fortresse, and Ziha, and Gispa was ouer the Nethinims.

And the ouerseer of the Leuites in Ierusalem was Vzzi the sonne of Bani, the sonne of Ashabiah, the sonne of Mattaniah, the sonne of Micha: of the sonnes of Asaph singers were ouer the worke of the house of God.

For it was the Kings commandement cocerning them, that faithfull prouision shoulde bee for the singers euery day.

And Pethahiah the sonne of Meshezabeel, of the sonnes of Zerah, the sonne of Iudah was at the Kings hand in all matters concerning the people.

The people who live outside Jerusalem

And in the villages in their landes, some of the children of Iudah dwelt in Kiriath-arba, and in the villages thereof, and in Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and in Iekabzeel. and in the villages thereof,

And in Ieshua, and in Moladah, and in Beth palet,

And in Hazer-shual, and in Beer-sheba, and in the villages thereof,

And in Ziklag, and in Mechonah, and in the villages thereof,

And in En-rimmon, and in Zareah, and in Iarmuth,

Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, in Lachish, and in the fieldes thereof, at Azekah, and in the villages thereof: and they dwelt from Beer-sheba, vnto the valley of Hinnom.

And the sonnes of Beniamin from Geba, in Michmash, and Aiia, and Beth-el, and in the villages thereof,

Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,

Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,

Hadid, Zeboim, Nebalat,

Lod and Ono, in the carpenters valley.

And of the Leuites were diuisions in Iudah and in Beniamin.

Das Volk, das in Jerusalem wohnt

Die Fürsten des Volkes nun wohnten in Jerusalem, das übrige Volk aber warf das Los, je um einen Teil von zehn zu stellen, der in Jerusalem, der heiligen Stadt, wohnen sollte, die neun andern Teile aber in den Städten.

Und das Volk segnete alle Männer, die sich freiwillig erboten, in Jerusalem zu wohnen.

Dies nun sind die Häupter des Landes, die in Jerusalem und in den Städten von Juda wohnten. Es wohnte aber ein jeder in seinem Besitze, in seiner Stadt, Israel, die Priester, die Leviten, die Nathinäer und die Söhne der Diener Salomons.

In Jerusalem wohnten Söhne Judas und Söhne Benjamins; von den Söhnen Judas: Athajas, der Sohn Aziams, des Sohnes Zacharias, des Sohnes Amarias, des Sohnes Saphatias, des Sohnes Malaleels: von den Söhnen Phares

Maasia, der Sohn Baruchs, der ein Sohn Cholhozas, der ein Sohn Hazias, der ein Sohn Adajas, der ein Sohn Jojaribs, der ein Sohn Zacharias, der ein Sohn eines Siloniters war.

Diese Söhne Phares, die in Jerusalem wohnten, waren zusammen vierhundertachtundsechzig tapfere Männer.

Dies aber sind die Söhne Benjamins: Sellum, der Sohn Mosollams, der ein Sohn Joeds, der ein Sohn Phadajas, der ein Sohn Kolajas, der ein Sohn Masias, der ein Sohn Etheels, der ein Sohn Isaias war,

und nach ihm Gebbai, Sellai, neunhundertachtundzwanzig;

Joel, der Sohn Zechris, war ihr Vorsteher und Judas, der Sohn Senuas, war als Zweiter über die Stadt gesetzt.

Und von den Priestern: Idaja, der Sohn Joaribs, Jachin,

Saraja, der Sohn des Helkias, der ein Sohn Mosollams, der ein Sohn Sadoks, der ein Sohn Merajoths, der ein Sohn Achitobs war, der Fürst des Hauses Gottes,

und deren Brüder, die den Dienst im Tempel versahen, achthundertzweiundzwanzig; und Adaja, der Sohn Jerohams, der ein Sohn Phelelias, der ein Sohn Amsis, der ein Sohn Zacharias, der ein Sohn Pheshurs, der ein Sohn Melchias war,

und seine Brüder, Häupter der Familien, zweihundertzweiundvierzig; ebenso Amassai, der Sohn Azreels, der ein Sohn Ahazis, der ein Sohn Mosollamóths, der ein Sohn Emmers, war,

und ihre Brüder, sehr tapfere Männer, hundertachtundzwanzig; ihr Vorsteher war Zabdiel, der Sohn der Mächtigen.

Und von den Leviten: Semeja, der Sohn Hasubs, der ein Sohn Azarikams, der ein Sohn Hasabias, der ein Sohn Bonis war,

und Sabathai und Jozabed, Oberhäupter der Leviten, die über alle äußeren Geschäfte des Hauses Gottes gesetzt waren,

und Mathania, der Sohn Michas, der ein Sohn Zebedeis, der ein Sohn Asaphs war, der das Lob- und Dankgebet leitete, und Bekbekia, der zweite unter seinen Brüdern, und Abda, der Sohn Samuas, der ein Sohn Galals, der ein Sohn Idithums war.

Von Leviten waren in der heiligen Stadt zusammen zweihundertvierundachtzig.

Ferner die Türhüter: Akkub, Telmon und deren Brüder, welche an den Toren Wache hielten, hundertzweiundsiebzig.

Und die übrigen aus Israel, die Priester und Leviten, waren in allen Städten Judas, ein jeder in seinem Besitz.

Die Nathinäer wohnten zu Ophel, und Siaha und Gaspha waren über die Nathinäer gesetzt.

Die Vorsteher der Leviten zu Jerusalem war Azzi, der Sohn Banis, der ein Sohn Hasabias, der ein Sohn Mathanias, der ein Sohn Michas war. Söhne Asaphs waren Sänger im Dienste des Hauses Gottes.

Denn es war für sie ein Gebot des Königs ergangen und unter den Sängern eine Ordnung für jeden Tag festgesetzt.

Und Phathahia, der Sohn Mesezebels, von den Söhnen Zaras, des Sohnes Juda, war von Seiten des Königs für alle Angelegenheiten des Volkes

Das Volk, das außerhalb von Jerusalem wohnt

und für die Häuser nach allen ihren Landschaften bestimmt. Von den Söhnen Judas wohnten in Kariatharbe und in dessen Tochterstädten, in Dibon und dessen Tochterstädten, in Kabseel und dessen Dörfern,

in Jesue, Molada, Bethphaleth,

Hasersual, in Bersabee und dessen Tochterstädten,

in Sikeleg, Mochona und dessen Tochterstädten,

in Remmon, Saraa, Jerimuth,

Zanoa, Odollam und deren Ortschaften, in Lachis und in dessen Umkreise und in Azeka und dessen Tochterstädten. Und sie wohnten zu Bersabee bis zum Tale Ennom.

Die Söhne Benjamins aber von Geba an in Mechmas, Hai, Bethel und dessen Tochterstädten,

in Anathoth, Nob, Anania,

Asor, Rama, Gethaim,

Hadid, Seboim und Neballat, Lod

und Ono im Tale der Künstler.

Und von den Leviten waren einige Abteilungen in Juda und Benjamin.
