- Kapitel 15 -

(Mark 7:1–13)

Then came to Iesus the Scribes and Pharises, which were of Hierusalem, saying,

Why do thy disciples transgresse the tradition of the Elders? for they wash not their hands when they eate bread.

But he answered and said vnto them, Why doe yee also transgresse the commandement of God by your tradition?

For God hath commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and he that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

But ye say, Whosoeuer shall say to father or mother, By the gift that is offered by me, thou maiest haue profite,

Though hee honour not his father, or his mother, shalbe free: thus haue ye made the commandement of God of no aucthoritie by your tradition.

O hypocrites, Esaias prophecied well of you, saying,

This people draweth neere vnto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with the lips, but their heart is farre off from me.

But in vaine they worship me, teaching for doctrines, mens precepts.

What Defiles a Man

(Mark 7:14–23)

Then hee called the multitude vnto him, and said to them, Heare and vnderstand.

That which goeth into the mouth, defileth not the man, but that which commeth out of the mouth, that defileth the man.

Then came his disciples, and saide vnto him, Perceiuest thou not, that the Pharises are offended in hearing this saying?

But hee answered and saide, Euery plant which mine heauenly Father hath not planted, shalbe rooted vp.

Let them alone, they be the blinde leaders of the blinde: and if the blinde leade ye blinde, both shall fall into the ditche.

Then answered Peter, and said to him, Declare vnto vs this parable.

Then said Iesus, Are ye yet without vnderstanding?

Perceiue ye not yet, that whatsoeuer entreth into the mouth, goeth into the bellie, and is cast out into the draught?

But those thinges which proceede out of the mouth, come from the heart, and they defile the man.

For out of the heart come euil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false testimonies, slaunders.

These are the things, which defile the man: but to eat with vnwashen hands, defileth not ye man.

The Faith of the Canaanite Woman

(Mark 7:24–30)

And Iesus went thence, and departed into the coastes of Tyrus and Sidon.

And beholde, a woman a Cananite came out of the same coasts, and cried, saying vnto him, Haue mercie on me, O Lord, the sonne of Dauid: my daughter is miserably vexed with a deuil.

But hee answered her not a worde. Then came to him his disciples, and besought him, saying, Sende her away, for she crieth after vs.

But he answered, and said, I am not sent, but vnto the lost sheepe of the house of Israel.

Yet she came, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, helpe me.

And he answered, and said, It is not good to take the childrens bread, and to cast it to whelps.

But she said, Trueth, Lord: yet in deede the whelpes eate of the crommes, which fall from their masters table.

Then Iesus answered, and saide vnto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it to thee, as thou desirest. And her daughter was made whole at that houre.

The Feeding of the Four Thousand

(2 Kings 4:42–44; Mark 8:1–10)

So Iesus went away from thence, and came neere vnto the sea of Galile, and went vp into a mountaine and sate downe there.

And great multitudes came vnto him, hauing with them, halt, blinde, dumme, maymed, and many other, and cast them downe at Iesus feete, and he healed them.

In so much that the multitude wondered, to see the dumme speake, the maimed whole, the halt to goe, and the blinde to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

Then Iesus called his disciples vnto him, and said, I haue compassion on this multitude, because they haue continued with mee already three dayes, and haue nothing to eate: and I wil not let them depart fasting, least they faint in the way.

And his disciples saide vnto him, Whence should we get so much bread in the wildernes, as should suffice so great a multitude!

And Iesus said vnto them, How many loaues haue ye? And they said, Seuen, and a few litle fishes.

Then he commanded the multitude to sit downe on the ground,

And tooke the seuen loaues, and the fishes, and gaue thankes, and brake them, and gaue to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

And they did all eate, and were sufficed: and they tooke vp of the fragments that remained, seuen baskets full.

And they that had eaten, were foure thousand men, beside women, and litle children.

Then Iesus sent away the multitude, and tooke ship, and came into the partes of Magdala.

Die Verunreinigung kommt von innen

(Markus 7,1-13)

Dann kamen Schriftgelehrte und Pharisäer zu ihm aus Jerusalem und sprachen:

Warum übertreten deine Jünger die Überlieferung der Alten? Denn sie waschen ihre Hände nicht, wenn sie Brot essen.

Er aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Warum übertretet auch ihr das Gebot Gottes wegen eurer Überlieferung? Denn Gott hat gesagt:

Ehre Vater und Mutter! und: Wer seinem Vater oder seiner Mutter fluchet, soll des Todes sterben.

Ihr aber sagt: Wer immer zum Vater oder zur Mutter spricht: Alles, was von mir geopfert wird, wird dir zum Nutze gereichen,

So mag er immer seinen Vater und seine Mutter nicht ehren; und ihr habt so Gottes Gebot aufgehoben wegen eurer Überlieferung.

Ihr Heuchler! Treffend hat Isaias von euch geweissagt, wenn er spricht:

Dieses Volk ehret mich mit den Lippen, aber ihr Herz ist fern von mir.

Vergeblich aber ehren sie mich, indem sie Lehren und Satzungen von Menschen lehren.

(Markus 7,14-23)

Und er rief das Volk zu sich und sprach zu ihnen: Höret, und verstehet wohl!

Nicht was zum Munde geht, verunreinigt den Menschen, sondern was aus dem Munde ausgeht, das verunreinigt den Menschen.

Darauf traten seine Jünger hinzu, und sprachen zu ihm: Weißt du, dass die Pharisäer geärgert wurden, da sie diese Rede hörten?

Er aber antwortete und sprach: Jegliche Pflanzung, welche mein himmlischer Vater nicht gepflanzt hat, wird ausgereutet werden.

Lasset sie! Sie sind Blinde und Führer von Blinden. Wenn aber ein Blinder einen Blinden führt, fallen beide in die Grube.

Da antwortete Petrus und sprach zu ihm: Erkläre uns dieses Gleichnis!

Er aber sprach: Seid auch ihr noch ohne Einsicht?

Sehet ihr nicht ein, dass alles, was zu dem Munde eingeht, in den Magen kommt, und seinen natürlichen Ausgang nimmt?

Was aber aus dem Munde herausgeht, kommt aus dem Herzen, und dies verunreinigt den Menschen;

denn aus dem Herzen gehen hervor böse Gedanken, Mordtaten, Ehebrüche, Unzucht, Diebstähle, falsche Zeugnisse, Gotteslästerungen.

Das sind Dinge, welche den Menschen verunreinigen; mit ungewaschenen Händen aber zu essen, verunreinigt den Menschen nicht.

Eine Nichtjüdin zeigt ihren Glauben

(Markus 7,24-30)

Und Jesus ging von dort hinweg, und zog sich in die Gegend von Thyrus und Sidon zurück.

Und siehe, ein kananäisches Weib kam aus jenen Grenzstrichen her, und rief und sprach zu ihm: Erbarme dich meiner, Herr, Sohn Davids! meine Tochter wird arg von einem bösen Geiste geplagt.

Er aber antwortete ihr nicht ein Wort. Und seine Jünger traten hinzu, baten ihn, und sprachen: Entlasse sie! Denn sie schreiet hinter uns her.

Er aber antwortete und sprach: Ich bin nur gesandt zu den verlorenen Schafen des Hauses Israel.

Sie aber kam, betete ihn an, und sprach: Herr! hilf mir.

Und er entgegnete und sprach: Es ist nicht recht, das Brot der Kinder zu nehmen, und es den Hündchen vorzuwerfen.

Sie aber sprach: Ja, Herr! denn auch die Hündlein essen von den Brosamen, die von dem Tische ihrer Herren fallen.

Da antwortete Jesus und sprach zu ihr: O Weib! Dein Glaube ist groß; dir geschehe, wie du willst. Und ihre Tochter war genesen von derselben Stunde an.

Jesus heilt große Menschenmengen

(2. Könige 4,42-44; Markus 8,1-10)

Als Jesus von dort weiter gegangen war, kam er an das Meer von Galiläa, und er stieg auf den Berg, und setzte sich daselbst.

Und es kam viel Volk zu ihm, das Stumme, Blinde, Lahme, Krüppel und viele andere bei sich hatte; und sie legten sie zu seinen Füßen, und er heilte sie,

so dass das Volk sich wunderte, da sie die Stummen reden, die Lahmen wandeln und die Blinden sehend schauten; und sie priesen den Gott Israels.

Die Speisung der Vier Tausend

Jesus aber rief seine Jünger zu sich und sprach: Mich erbarmet des Volkes, denn drei Tage harren sie bei mir aus und haben nichts zu essen; und ich will sie nicht ungespeiset von mir lassen, damit sie nicht auf dem Wege erliegen.

Da sprachen seine Jünger zu ihm: Woher nehmen wir hier in der Wüste so viele Brote, um so viel Volk zu sättigen?

Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Wie viele Brote habet ihr? Sie aber sprachen: Sieben, und wenige Fischlein.

Und er befahl dem Volke, sich auf die Erde zu lagern.

Dann nahm er die sieben Brote und die Fische, dankte, brach, und gab seinen Jüngern, und die Jünger gaben dem Volke.

Und alle aßen und wurden satt. Und was von den Stücken übrig blieb, hoben sie auf, sieben volle Körbe.

Derer aber, die gegessen hatten, waren viertausend Männer, außer den Kindern und den Frauen.

Und nachdem er das Volk entlassen, trat er in das Schiff, und kam in das Gebiet von Magedan.
