- Kapitel 19 -

And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

Speake vnto all the Congregation of the children of Israel, and say vnto them, Ye shalbe holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.

Yee shall feare euery man his mother and his father, and shall keepe my Sabbaths: for I am the Lord your God.

Ye shall not turne vnto idoles, nor make you molten gods: I am the Lord your God.

And when yee shall offer a peace offering vnto the Lord, ye shall offer it freely.

It shall be eaten the day yee offer it, or on the morowe: and that which remaineth vntill the third day, shalbe burnt in the fire.

For if it be eaten the third day, it shall be vncleane, it shall not be accepted.

Therefore he that eateth it, shall beare his iniquitie, because he hath defiled the halowed thing of the Lord, and that person shalbe cut off from his people.

Love Your Neighbor

(Romans 13:8–10)

When yee reape the haruest of your land, ye shall not reape euery corner of your field, neither shalt thou gather the glainings of thy haruest.

Thou shalt not gather the grapes of thy vineyarde cleane, neyther gather euery grape of thy vineyarde, but thou shalt leaue them for the poore and for the straunger: I am the Lord your God.

Ye shall not steale, neither deale falsely, neither lie one to another.

Also yee shall not sweare by my name falsely, neither shalt thou defile the name of thy God: I am the Lord.

Thou shalt not do thy neighbour wrong, neither rob him. The workemans hire shall not abide with thee vntil the morning.

Thou shalt not curse the deafe, neither put a stumbling blocke before the blinde, but shalt feare thy God: I am the Lord.

Ye shall not doe vniustly in iudgement. Thou shalt not fauour the person of the poore, nor honour the person of the mightie, but thou shalt iudge thy neighbour iustly.

Thou shalt not walke about with tales among thy people. Thou shalt not stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the Lord.

Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart, but thou shalt plainely rebuke thy neighbour, and suffer him not to sinne.

Thou shalt not auenge, nor be mindful of wrong against ye childre of thy people, but shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe: I am the Lord.

Keep My Statutes

Yee shall keepe mine ordinances. Thou shalt not let thy cattel gender with others of diuers kindes. Thou shalt not sowe thy fielde with mingled seede, neyther shall a garment of diuers thinges, as of linen and wollen come vpon thee.

Whosoeuer also lyeth and medleth with a woman that is a bonde mayde, affianced to a husband, and not redeemed, nor freedome giuen her, she shalbe scourged, but they shall not die, because she is not made free.

And he shall bring for his trespasse offring vnto the Lord, at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, a ramme for a trespasse offering.

Then the Priest shall make an atonement for him with the ramme of the trespasse offering before the Lord, concerning his sinne which he hath done, and pardon shalbe giuen him for his sinne which he hath committed.

Also when ye shall come into the land, and haue planted euery tree for meate, ye shall count the fruite thereof as vncircumcised: three yeere shall it be vncircumcised vnto you, it shall not be eaten:

But in the fourth yere all the fruite thereof shalbe holy to the praise of the Lord.

And in the fifth yeere shall ye eate of the fruite of it that it may yeelde to you the encrease thereof: I am the Lord your God.

Ye shall not eat the flesh with the blood, ye shall not vse witchcraft, nor obserue times.

Ye shall not cut rounde the corners of your heades, neither shalt thou marre the tuftes of thy beard.

Ye shall not cut your flesh for the dead, nor make any print of a marke vpon you: I am the Lord,

Thou shalt not make thy daughter common, to cause her to be a whore, least the lande also fall to whoredome, and the lande bee full of wickednesse.

Ye shall keepe my Sabbaths and reuerence my Sanctuarie: I am the Lord.

Ye shall not regarde them that worke with spirites, neither soothsayers: ye shall not seeke to them to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.

Thou shalt rise vp before the horehead, and honour the person of the old man, and dread thy God: I am the Lord.

And if a stranger soiourne with thee in your lande, ye shall not vexe him.

But the stranger that dwelleth with you, shalbe as one of your selues, and thou shalt loue him as thy selfe: for ye were strangers in the lad of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

Ye shall not doe vniustly in iudgement, in line, in weight, or in measure.

You shall haue iust ballances, true weightes, a true Ephah, and a true Hin. I am the Lord your God, which haue brought you out of the lande of Egypt.

Therefore shall ye obserue all mine ordinances, and all my iudgements, and doe them: I am the Lord.

Moral- und Zeremonialgesetze

Der Herr redete zu Moses und sprach:

Rede zu der ganzen Gemeinde der Söhne Israels und sage ihnen: Ihr sollt heilig sein: denn ich bin heilig, der Herr, euer Gott.

Ein jeder hege Ehrfurcht vor seinem Vater und seiner Mutter. Haltet meine Sabbate. Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott.

Wendet euch nicht den Götzen zu und machet euch keine gegossenen Götter. Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott.

Wenn ihr dem Herrn ein Friedopfer schlachtet, dass er euch geneigt sein möge,

so sollt ihr es an dem Tage essen, an dem es geschlachtet ward, und am Tage darauf; alles aber, was bis zum dritten Tage übrigbleibt, sollt ihr mit Feuer verbrennen.

Wenn jemand nach Verlauf der zwei Tage davon isst, so soll er unrein und eines Frevels schuldig sein.

Er soll seine Schuld tragen, weil er das Heilige des Herrn entweiht hat, und diese Seele soll ausgetilgt werden aus ihrem Volke.

(Römer 13,8-10)

Wenn du die Saaten deines Landes erntest, sollst du sie nicht bis zum Erdboden abschneiden und sollst die übrigbleibenden Ähren nicht auflesen.

Auch in deinem Weinberge sollst du die abgefallenen Trauben und Beeren nicht aufsammeln, sondern den Armen und Fremden zur Lese überlassen. Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott.

Ihr sollt nicht stehlen. Ihr sollt nicht lügen, und keiner soll seinen Nächsten betrügen.

Du sollst bei meinem Namen nicht falsch schwören, und den Namen deines Gottes nicht beflecken. Ich bin der Herr.

Du sollst deinem Nächsten kein Unrecht tun und ihn nicht mit Gewalt unterdrücken. Der Lohn des Lohnarbeiters soll bei dir nicht bis zum Morgen bleiben.

Du sollst einem Tauben nicht fluchen und einem Blinden nicht einen Anstoß in den Weg legen, sondern den Herrn, deinen Gott, fürchten; denn ich bin der Herr.

Du sollst nichts tun, was ungerecht ist, und kein ungerechtes Urteil fällen. Du sollst für einen Armen nicht Partei ergreifen und das Angesicht des Gewaltigen nicht bevorzugen. Du sollst deinem Nächsten gerechtes Gericht sprechen.

Du sollst kein Verleumder, noch Ohrenbläser unter dem Volke sein. Du sollst dich wider deines Nächsten Blut nicht erheben. Ich bin der Herr.

Du sollst deinen Bruder nicht in deinem Herzen hassen, sondern ihn offen zurechtweisen, damit du keine Sünde seinethalben auf dich ladest.

Du sollst nicht Rache suchen, noch des Unrechts deiner Mitbürger gedenken. Du sollst deinen Freund lieben wie dich selbst. Ich bin der Herr.

Haltet meine Satzungen. Dein Vieh sollst du nicht sich begatten lassen mit Tieren anderer Art. Deinen Acker sollst du nicht mit verschiedenartigem Samen besäen. Ein Kleid, das aus zweierlei Fäden gewebt ist, sollst du nicht anziehen.

Wenn ein Mann einem Weibe, welche eine Leibeigene und einem Manne bestimmt, aber noch nicht losgekauft oder freigelassen ist, beiwohnt, und sich mit einer solchen fleischlich vermischt, so sollen beide gezüchtigt werden, aber nicht sterben; denn sie war keine Freie.

Und der Mann soll dem Herrn als Schuldopfer einen Widder an dem Eingange des Zeltes des Zeugnisses darbringen,

aber der Priester soll für ihn und für seine Sünde vor dem Herrn beten, und so wird dieser ihm wieder gnädig und die Sünde vergeben sein.

Wenn ihr in das Land kommt und darin Fruchtbäume pflanzt, so sollt ihr ihre Vorhaut wegnehmen; die Früchte nämlich, welche darauf wachsen, sollen euch als unrein gelten, und ihr sollt nicht von denselben essen.

Im vierten Jahre aber sollen alle ihre Früchte zum Lobe für den Herrn geweiht werden.

Im fünften Jahre dürft ihr die Früchte essen und den Ertrag einsammeln, denn die Bäume tragen. Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott!

Ihr sollt nichts mit dem Blute essen. Ihr sollt nicht wahrsagen, noch auf Träume achten.

Ihr sollt euer Haar nicht rundum abschneiden, noch den Bart abscheren.

Und wegen eines Toten sollt ihr keine Einschnitte in euer Fleisch machen, noch euch Figuren oder Zeichen einritzen. Ich bin der Herr.

Gib deine Tochter nicht preis, damit das Land nicht verunreinigt und mit Fluchwürdigem erfüllt werde.

Haltet meine Ruhetage und habet Ehrfurcht vor meinem Heiligtum. Ich bin der Herr.

Ihr sollt euch nicht an die Zauberer wenden, noch die Wahrsager um etwas befragen, so dass ihr durch sie verunreinigt werdet. Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott.

Vor einem grauen Haupte stehe auf, und ehre die Person des Greises, und den Herrn, deinen Gott, fürchte. Ich bin der Herr.

Wenn ein Fremdling in eurem Lande wohnt und unter euch weilt, so seid nicht hart gegen ihn,

sondern er sei wie ein Eingeborner unter euch, und ihr sollt ihn lieben wie euch selbst; denn auch ihr seid Fremdlinge im Lande Ägypten gewesen. Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott.

Ihr sollt kein Unrecht verüben im Gerichte, mit Messschnur, Gewicht, Maß.

Es sei die Waage recht, die Gewichte genau, der Scheffel richtig, das Maß entsprechend Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott, der euch aus dem Lande Ägypten geführt hat.

Haltet alle meine Gebote und alle Satzungen, und tuet sie. Ich bin der Herr.
