- Kapitel 45 -

Moreover when yee shall deuide the land for inheritance, ye shall offer an oblation vnto the Lord an holy portion of the land, fiue and twentie thousand reedes long, and ten thousand broad: this shalbe holy in all the borders thereof round about.

Of this there shalbe for the Sanctuarie fiue hundreth in length with fiue hundreth in breadth, all square round about, and fiftie cubites rounde about for the suburbes thereof.

And of this measure shalt thou measure the length of fiue and twentie thousande, and the breadth of tenne thousande: and in it shalbe the Sanctuarie, and the most holy place.

The holy portion of the lande shalbe the Priests, which minister in the Sanctuarie, which came neere to serue the Lord: and it shalbe a place for their houses, and an holy place for the Sanctuarie.

And in the fiue and twentie thousande of length, and the ten thousand of breadth shall the Leuites that minister in the house, haue their possession for twentie chambers.

Also ye shall appoynt the possession of the citie, fiue thousand broad, and fiue and twentie thousand log ouer against the oblation of ye holy portion: it shalbe for the whole house of Israel.

The Prince’s Portion

And a portion shalbe for the prince on ye one side, and on that side of the oblation of the holy portion, and of the possession of the citie, euen before the oblation of the holy portion, and before the possession of the citie from the West corner Westward, and from the East corner Eastward, and the length shalbe by one of the portions from the West border vnto the East border.

In this lande shalbe his possession in Israel: and my princes shall no more oppresse my people, and the rest of the land shall they giue to ye house of Israel, according to their tribes.

Thus saith the Lord God, Let it suffice you, O princes of Israel: leaue off crueltie and oppression, and execute iudgment and iustice: take away your exactions from my people, sayth the Lord God.

Honest Scales

(Deuteronomy 25:13–16; Proverbs 11:1–3)

Ye shall haue iust balances, and a true Ephah, and a true Bath.

The Ephah and the Bath shalbe equall: a Bath shall conteyne the tenth part of an Homer, and an Ephah the tenth part of an Homer: the equalitie thereof shalbe after the Homer.

And the shekel shalbe twentie gerahs, and twentie shekels, and fiue and twentie shekels and fifteene shekels shalbe your Maneh.

Offerings and Feasts

This is the oblation that ye shall offer, ye sixt part of an Ephah of an Homer of wheat, and ye shall giue the sixt part of an Ephah of an Homer of barley.

Concerning ye ordinance of the oyle, euen of the Bath of oyle, ye shall offer the tenth part of a Bath out of ye Cor (ten Baths are an Homer: for ten Baths fill an Homer)

And one lambe of two hundreth sheepe out of ye fat pastures of Israel for a meat offring, and for a burnt offring and for peace offrings, to make reconciliation for them, sayth the Lord God.

All the people of the lande shall giue this oblation for the prince in Israel.

And it shalbe ye princes part to giue burnt offrings, and meat offrings, and drinke offrings in the solemne feasts and in the newe moones, and in the Sabbaths, and in all the hie feasts of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sinne offring, and the meat offring, and the burnt offring, and the peace offrings to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.

Thus sayth the Lord God, In the first moneth, in the first day of the moneth, thou shalt take a yong bullocke without blemish and clense the Sanctuarie.

And the Priest shall take of the blood of the sinne offring, and put it vpon the posts of the house, and vpon the foure corners of the frame of the altar, and vpon the postes of the gate of the inner court.

And so shalt thou doe the seuenth day of the moneth, for euery one that hath erred and for him that is deceiued: so shall you reconcile the house.

In the first moneth in the foureteenth day of the moneth, ye shall haue the Passeouer, a feast of seuen dayes, and ye shall eate vnleauened bread.

And vpon that day, shall the prince prepare for him selfe, and for all the people of the lande, a bullocke for a sinne offring.

And in the seuen dayes of the feast he shall make a burnt offring to the Lord, euen of seuen bullockes, and seuen rammes without blemish dayly for seuen dayes, and an hee goate dayly for a sinne offring.

And he shall prepare a meate offring of an Ephah for a bullocke, an Ephah for a ramme, and an Hin of oyle for an Ephah.

In the seuenth moneth, in the fifteenth day of the moneth, shall he do the like in the feast for seuen dayes, according to the sinne offring, according to the burnt offring, and according to the meate offring, and according to the oyle.

Der heilige Bezirk

Wenn ihr das Land durch das Los zu verteilen beginnt, sollt ihr als Erstlinge dem Herrn eine geheiligte Gabe vom Lande absondern, fünfundzwanzigtausend in der Länge und zehntausend in der Breite, es soll geheiligt sein in seinem ganzen Umfange ringsum.

Von diesem ganzen Teile soll zu dem Heiligtum ein Geviert gehören, fünfhundert Ellen an jeder Seite, und ein freier Platz von fünfzig Ellen soll denselben umgeben.

Von diesem Maße sollst du einen Raum von fünfundzwanzigtausend Länge und zehntausend Breite ausmessen und darin soll der Tempel und das Allerheiligste sich befinden.

Die geheiligte Gabe vom Lande gehöre den Priestern, den Dienern am Heiligtume, die zum Dienste des Herrn hinzutreten; sie soll ihnen als Raum zu Häusern dienen und für das hehre Heiligtum.

Ebenso sollen fünfundzwanzigtausend in der Länge und zehntausend in der Breite für die Leviten bestimmt sein, die im Hause den Dienst üben, und zwanzig Kammern sollen ihnen als Besitz gehören.

Die Eigenschaften der Stadt und des Fürsten

Zum Eigentum der Stadt sollt ihr einen Platz von fünftausend in der Breite und fünfundzwanzigtausend in der Länge bestimmen, entsprechend dem abgesonderten Heiligtum; es gehöre dem ganzen Hause Israel.

Für den Fürsten aber sollt ihr auch zu beiden Seiten des für das Heiligtum abgesonderten Raumes und an dem Besitzteile der Stadt, einen Raum anweisen, an der Westseite nach Westen hin und an der Ostseite nach Osten hin; der Länge nach also reiche dieser Raum längs eines jeden Anteils von der westlichen bis zur östlichen Grenze.

Dies soll ihm vom Lande als Besitztum in Israel gehören und nicht sollen die Fürsten hinfort mehr mein Volk berauben, sondern das Land dem Hause Israel nach seinen Stämmen belassen.

Die Gesetze für den Fürsten

So spricht der Herr, Gott: Lasset es euch genug sein, ihr Fürsten Israels! Lasset ab von Bedrückung und Raub, übet Recht und Gerechtigkeit und sondert euer Gebiet von meinem Volke ab, spricht der Herr, Gott.

(5. Mose 25,13-16; Sprüche 11,1-3)

Rechte Waage, rechtes Epha und rechtes Bat sollt ihr haben.

Epha und Bat sollen gleich und von einem Maß sein, so dass ein Bat den zehnten Teil eines Kor fasst und ein Epha auch den zehnten Teil eines Kor; nach dem Maße des Kor soll die Bestimmung ihres Maßes sich richten.

Der Sekel soll zwanzig Heller betragen; zwanzig Sekel, fünfundzwanzig Sekel und fünfzehn Sekel machen eine Mine.

Diese aber sind die Erstlinge, welche ihr abgeben sollt: Den sechsten Teil eines Epha von einem Kor Weizen und den sechsten Teil eines Epha von einem Kor Gerste.

Das Maß für das Öl sei ein Bat Öl. Das Bat ist der zehnte Teil von einem Kor, denn zehn Bat machen ein Kor, weil zehn Bat ein Kor voll machen.

Aus einer Herde von je zweihundert, von denen, die Israel für die Speiseopfer, für die Brandopfer, für die Friedopfer und zum Sühnopfer für dich weidet, nehme man einen Widder, spricht der Herr, Gott.

Das ganze Volk im Lande soll gehalten sein, diese Erstlinge dem Fürsten in Israel darzubringen.

Dem Fürsten aber soll es obliegen, die Brand-. Speise- und Trankopfer für die Festtage, Neumonde und Sabbate und für alle Festtage des Hauses Israel herbeizuschaffen, er soll die Sünd-, Brand- und Friedopfer zur Sühne für das Haus Israel besorgen.

Die Einhaltung der Feste

So spricht der Herr, Gott: Am ersten Tage des ersten Monats nimm einen fehllosen Stier von der Herde und entsühne damit das Heiligtum.

Und der Priester nehme etwas vom Blute des Sündopfers und sprenge es an die Pfosten des Hauses, an die vier Ecken der Umfriedung des Altares und an die Pfosten am Tore des innen Vorhofes.

Und ebenso tue am siebten des Monats für jeden, der sich aus Unwissenheit oder Irrtum verfehlt hat, und so sollst du das Haus entsündigen.

Im ersten Monate, am vierzehnten Tage des Monats, sollt ihr das Osterfest feiern, sieben Tage lang soll man ungesäuertes Brot essen.

Und der Fürst soll an jenem Tage für sich und das ganze Volk des Landes einen Stier als Sündopfer darbringen.

An den sieben Tagen des Festes aber soll er täglich sieben Stiere und sieben Widder, die ohne Fehl sind, dem Herrn zum Brandopfer und alle Tage einen Ziegenbock als Sündopfer darbringen.

Als Speiseopfer soll er ein Epha zu jedem Stiere und ein Epha zu jedem Widder und zu jedem Epha ein Hin Öl darbringen.

Im siebten Monate, am fünfzehnten Tage des Monats, am Laubhüttenfeste soll er das gleiche, wie oben gesagt ward, sieben Tage lang tun, sowohl was Sündopfer wie Brandopfer, Speiseopfer und das Öl betrifft.
