- Kapitel 36 -

Also thou sonne of man, prophesie vnto the mountaines of Israel, and say, Ye mountaines of Israel, heare the word of the Lord.

Thus saith the Lord God, because the enemie hath sayde against you, Aha, euen the hye places of the world are ours in possession,

Therefore prophesie, and say, Thus sayth the Lord God, Because that they haue made you desolate, and swallowed you vp on euery side, that ye might be a possession vnto the residue of the heathen, and ye are come vnto the lippes and tongues of men, and vnto the reproch of the people,

Therefore ye mountaines of Israel, heare the worde of the Lord God, Thus sayth the Lord God to the mountaines and to the hilles, to the riuers, and to the valleys, and to the waste, and desolate places, and to the cities that are forsaken: which are spoyled and had in derision of the residue of the heathen that are round about.

Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Surely in the fire of mine indignation haue I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which haue taken my lande for their possession, with the ioy of all their heart, and with despitefull mindes to cast it out for a pray.

Prophesie therfore vpon the land of Israel, and say vnto the mountaines, and to the hilles, to the riuers, and to the valleys, Thus sayth the Lord God, Behold, I haue spoken in mine indignation, and in my wrath, because yee haue suffered the shame of the heathen,

Therefore thus saith the Lord God, I haue lifted vp mine hand, surely the heathen that are about you, shall beare their shame.

But you, O mountaines of Israel, yee shall shoote forth your branches, and bring foorth your fruite to my people of Israel: for they are ready to come.

For behold, I come vnto you, and I wil turne vnto you, and ye shalbe tilled and sowen.

And I wil multiply the men vpon you, euen all the house of Israel wholly, and the cities shalbe inhabited, and the desolate places shalbe builded.

And I wil multiply vpon you man and beast, and they shall encrease, and bring fruite, and I will cause you to dwell after your olde estate, and I will bestowe benefites vpon you more then at the first, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Yea, I wil cause men to walke vpon you, euen my people Israel, and they shall possesse you, and ye shalbe their inheritance, and ye shall no more henceforth depriue them of men.

Thus sayth the Lord God, because they say vnto you, Thou land deuourest vp men, and hast bene a waster of thy people,

Therefore thou shalt deuoure men no more, neither waste thy people henceforth, sayth the Lord God,

Neither will I cause men to heare in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou beare the reproche of the people any more, neither shalt cause thy folke to fal any more, saith the Lord God.

A New Heart and a New Spirit

(Romans 8:9–11; Galatians 5:16–26)

Moreouer the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

Sonne of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their owne lande, they defiled it by their owne wayes, and by their deedes: their way was before me as the filthinesse of the menstruous.

Wherfore I powred my wrath vpon them, for the blood that they had shed in the land, and for their idoles, wherewith they had polluted it.

And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries for according to their wayes, and according to their deedes, I iudged them.

And when they entred vnto the heathen, whither they went, they polluted mine holy Name, when they sayd of them, These are the people of the Lord, and are gone out of his land.

But I fauoured mine holy Name which the house of Israel had polluted among the heathen, whither they went.

Therfore say vnto the house of Israel, Thus saith ye Lord God, I doe not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy Names sake, which yee polluted among the heathen whither ye went.

And I wil sanctifie my great Name, which was polluted among the heathen, among whome you haue polluted it, and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, sayth the Lord God, when I shalbe sanctified in you before their eyes.

For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your owne land.

Then wil I powre cleane water vpon you, and ye shalbe cleane: yea, from all your filthines, and from all your idoles wil I clense you.

A newe heart also will I giue you, and a new spirit wil I put within you, and I will take away the stonie heart out of your body, and I will giue you an heart of flesh.

And I will put my spirite within you, and cause you to walke in my statutes, and ye shall keepe my iudgements and do them.

And ye shall dwell in the land, that I gaue to your fathers, and ye shalbe my people, and I will be your God.

I will also deliuer you from all your filthinesse, and I will call for corne, and will increase it, and lay no famine vpon you.

For I will multiplie the fruite of the trees, and the increase of the fielde, that ye shall beare no more the reproch of famine among the heathen.

Then shall ye remember your owne wicked wayes, and your deedes that were not good, and shall iudge your selues worthie to haue bene destroyed for your iniquities, and for your abominations.

Be it knowen vnto you that I do not this for your sakes, sayth the Lord God: therefore, O ye house of Israel, be ashamed, and confounded for your owne wayes.

Thus sayth the Lord God, What time as I shall haue clensed you from all your iniquities, I will cause you to dwel in the cities, and the desolate places shalbe builded.

And the desolate land shalbe tilled, whereas it lay waste in the sight of all that passed by.

For they sayd, This waste land was like the garden of Eden, and these waste and desolate and ruinous cities were strong, and were inhabited.

Then the residue of the heathen that are left round about you, shall know that I the Lord builde the ruinous places, and plant the desolate places: I the Lord haue spoken it, and wil do it.

Thus saith the Lord God, I will yet for this be sought of ye house of Israel, to performe it vnto them: I wil encrease them with men like a flocke.

As the holy flocke, as the flocke of Ierusalem in their solemne feastes, so shall the desolate cities be filled with flockes of men, and they shall know, that I am the Lord.

Segen für Israel

Du aber, Menschensohn! weissage über die Berge Israels und sprich: Berge Israels, hört das Wort des Herrn!

So spricht der Herr, Gott: Weil der Feind über euch gerufen hat: Ha, die ewigen Höhen sind uns als Erbbesitz eigen geworden!

darum weissage und sprich: So spricht der Herr, Gott: Dafür, dass ihr verwüstet und ringsum niedergetreten und zum Erbe den noch übrigen Völkern geworden seid und die Völker euch im Munde führen zu eurer Schmach,

deswegen, Berge Israels, höret das Wort Gottes, des Herrn! So spricht der Herr, Gott, zu den Bergen und Hügeln, zu den Bächen und Tälern, zu den wüsten verfallenen Mauern und verlassenen Städten, die verwüstet und zum Spotte geworden sind für die übrigen Völker ringsum.

So spricht deshalb der Herr, Gott: In meinem Feuereifer habe ich wider die noch übrigen Völker und wider ganz Idumäa gesprochen, dies ich mein Land mit Aufjauchzen ihres ganzen Herzens und aus ganzer Seele als Erbe zugeeignet und es ausgeplündert haben, dass es zur Wüstenei ward,

deshalb weissage über das Land Israel und sprich zu den Bergen und Hügeln, zu den Höhen und Tälern: So spricht der Herr, Gott: Sehet, in meinem Eifer und in meinem Grimme habe ich gesprochen, denn ihr habt die Schmach der Völker erdulden müssen.

Ja, darum spricht so der Herr, Gott: Ich habe meine Hand erhoben, die Völker, welche rings um euch her sind, sollen ihre Schmach selbst tragen.

Ihr aber, Berge Israels! Sollt eure Zweige hervorsprossen lassen und ihr sollt eure Frucht tragen für mein Volk Israel, denn nahe ist die Zeit, dass es heimkehrt!

Denn sehet, ich werde zu euch kommen und mich wieder zu euch wenden, ihr sollt bepflügt werden und sollt Samenkorn erhalten!

Ich werde die Menschen auf euch zahlreich machen und das ganze Haus Israel und die Städte sollen bewohnt und das Verfallene wieder aufgebaut werden.

Ich werde euch mit Menschen und Vieh anfüllen, sie sollen sich mehren und wachsen, ich will euch bewohnt sein lassen wie im Anbeginn, ja mit größeren Gütern euch beschenken, als ihr in der Vorzeit gehabt, und ihr sollt erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin.

Ich werde Menschen, mein Volk Israel, auf euch herführen und sie sollen dich als Erbe in Besitz nehmen, du sollst ihr Erbteil sein und du wirst ihrer fortan nicht mehr beraubt werden.

Also spricht der Herr, Gott: Dafür, dass sie von euch sagen: Du verschlingst die Menschen und vernichtest dein Volk,

darum sollst du fortan nicht mehr Menschen verschlingen und dein Volk nicht ferner töten, spricht der Herr, Gott.

Ich will dich fortan nicht mehr den Hohn der Heiden hören lassen, das Schmähen der Völker sollst du nicht mehr tragen müssen noch sollst du dein Volk fortan verlieren, spricht der Herr, Gott.

Die Erneuerung Israels

(Römer 8,9-11; Galater 5,16-26)

Und es erging das Wort des Herrn an mich also:

Menschensohn! als das Haus Israel ins einem Lande wohnte, verunreinigten sie es durch ihren Wandel und ihre Gesinnung, so dass ihr Wandel vor mir wie die Unreinigkeit eines blutflüssigen Weibes ward.

Da schüttete ich meinen Zorn über sie aus wegen des Blutes, welches sie über das Land hin vergossen, und weil sie es durch ihre Götzenbilder befleckt hatten.

Und ich zerstreute sie unter die Völker und worfelte sie hinaus in die Länder, nach ihrem Wandel und ihren Anschlägen richtete ich sie.

Und sie kamen unter die Heiden, doch unter denen, zu welchen sie kamen, entweihten sie meinen heiligen Namen, da man von ihnen sagte: Dies ist das Volk des Herrn und doch haben sie aus seinem Lande wegziehen müssen!

Aber ich will meinen heiligen Namen hochhalten, welchen das Haus Israel unter den Völkern, zu denen sie gekommen sind, entweiht hat.

Darum sprich zum Hause Israel: So spricht der Herr, Gott: Nicht um euretwillen, Haus Israel! tue ich es, sondern um meines heiligen Namens willen, den ihr entweiht habt unter den Heiden, zu denen ihr gekommen seid.

Ich werde meinen großen Namen heiligen, der unter den Völkern entweiht ist, den ihr unter ihnen entweiht habt, damit die Völker erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin, spricht der Herr der Heerscharen, wenn ich mich an euch vor ihnen heilig erweise.

Denn ich werde euch aus den Völkern wegnehmen und euch sammeln aus allen Ländern und euch in euer Land führen.

Und ich werde reines Wasser über euch ausgießen, dass ich von allen euern Befleckungen gereinigt werdet, und von allen euren Götzenbildern werde ich euch reinigen.

Ich werde euch ein neues Herz geben und einen neuen Geist in euer Inneres einführen, ich werde das Herz von Stein aus euerm Leibe nehmen und euch ein Herz von Fleisch geben.

Ich werde meinen Geist in euer Inneres geben und machen, dass ihr nach meinen Geboten wandelt, meine Rechte beobachtet und sie übt.

Dann sollt ihr im Lande wohnen, das ich euern Vätern gegeben habe, und sollt mein Volk sein und ich werde euer Gott sein!

Ich werde euch von allen euern Unreinigkeiten befreien, ich werde dem Getreide entbieten und es mehren und keine Hungersnot über euch verhängen.

Ich werde die Frucht der Bäume und das Erträgnis des Feldes reichlich machen, dass ihr nicht mehr um des Hungers willen Spott erdulden müsst unter den Völkern.

Dann werdet ihr eures schlimmen Wandels und eurer nicht guten Taten gedenken und es werden euch eure Verschuldungen und eure Frevel missfallen.

Nicht um euretwillen tue ich es, spricht der Herr, Gott, dies sei euch kund; schämet euch und errötet über euren Wandel, Haus Israel!

So spricht der Herr, Gott: An dem Tage, da ich euch von allen euren Verschuldungen reinige und die Städte bewohnt mache und das Verfallene wiederherstelle

und das verödete Land, das ehedem wüste lag vor den Augen jeglichen Wanderers, wieder bebaut wird,

wird man sagen: Dieses Land, das unbebaut war, ist wie der Garten der Wonne geworden und die ehedem verödeten, verlassenen und zerstörten Städte stehen nun wohlgefestigt da.

Dann werden die Völker, soviel ihrer rings um euch übrig sind, erkennen, dass ich, der Herr, das Zerstörte wieder aufgebaut, das Unbebaute wieder angepflanzt habe; ich, der Herr, habe es geredet und vollbracht!

So spricht der Herr, Gott: Auch das will ich tun und auch darin soll das Haus Israel mich gnädig finden: Ich will die zahlreich machen wie eine Herde von Menschen,

wie eine geweihte Herde, wie die Herde in Jerusalem an dessen hohen Festen, so sollen die verödeten Städte voll werden von Menschenherden, und sie sollen erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin.
