- Kapitel 3 -

(Revelation 10:1–11)

Moreover he saide vnto me, Sonne of man, eate that thou findest: eate this roule, and goe, and speake vnto the house of Israel.

So I opened my mouth, and he gaue mee this roule to eate.

And he said vnto me, Sonne of man, cause thy belly to eate, and fill thy bowels with this roule that I giue thee. Then did I eate it, and it was in my mouth as sweete as honie.

And he said vnto me, Sonne of man, goe, and enter into the house of Israel, and declare them my wordes.

For thou art not sent to a people of an vnknowen tongue, or of an hard language, but to the house of Israel,

Not to many people of an vnknowen tongue, or of an harde language, whose wordes thou canst not vnderstand: yet if I should sende thee to them, they would obey thee.

But the house of Israel will not obey thee: for they will not obey me: yea, all the house of Israel are impudent and stiffe hearted.

Beholde, I haue made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead harde against their foreheads.

I haue made thy forehead as the adamant, and harder then the flint: feare them not therefore, neither be afraid at their lookes: for they are a rebellious house.

He said moreouer vnto me, Sonne of man, receiue in thine heart al my words that I speake vnto thee, and heare them with thine eares,

And goe and enter to them that are led away captiues vnto the children of thy people, and speake vnto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord God: but surely they will not heare, neither will they in deede cease.

Then the spirite tooke me vp, and I heard behinde me a noise of a great russhing, saying, Blessed be ye glorie of the Lord out of his place.

I heard also the noyse of the wings of the beasts, that touched one another, and the ratling of the wheeles that were by them, euen a noyse of a great russhing.

So the spirit lift me vp, and tooke me away and I went in bitternesse, and indignation of my spirite, but the hand of the Lord was strong vpon me.

Then I came to them that were led away captiues to Tel-abib, that dwelt by the riuer Chebar, and I sate where they sate, and remained there astonished among them seuen dayes.

A Watchman for Israel

And at the ende of seuen dayes, the worde of the Lord came againe vnto me, saying,

Sonne of man, I haue made thee a watchman vnto the house of Israel: therefore heare the worde at my mouth, and giue them warning from me.

When I shall say vnto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die, and thou giuest not him warning, nor speakest to admonish the wicked of his wicked way, that he may liue, the same wicked man shall die in his iniquitie: but his blood will I require at thine hande.

Yet if thou warne the wicked, and he turne not from his wickednesse, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquitie, but thou hast deliuered thy soule.

Likewise if a righteous man turne from his righteousnesse, and commit iniquitie, I will lay a stumbling blocke before him, and he shall die, because thou hast not giuen him warning: he shall die in his sinne, and his righteous deedes, which he hath done, shall not be remembred: but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Neuerthelesse, if thou admonish that righteous man, that the righteous sinne not, and that he doeth not sinne, he shall liue because he is admonished: also thou hast deliuered thy soule.

And the hande of the Lord was there vpon me, and he said vnto me, Arise, and goe into the fielde, and I will there talke with thee.

So when I had risen vp, and gone foorth into the fielde, beholde, the glorie of the Lord stoode there, as the glorie which I sawe by the riuer Chebar, and I fell downe vpon my face.

Then the Spirit entred into me, which set me vp vpon my feete, and spake vnto me, and said to me, Come, and shut thy selfe within thine house.

But thou, O sonne of man, beholde, they shall put bandes vpon thee, and shall binde thee with them, and thou shalt not goe out among them.

And I will make thy tongue cleaue to the roofe of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dume, and shalt not be to them as a man that rebuketh: for they are a rebellious house.

But when I shall haue spoken vnto thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, He that heareth, let him heare, and he that leaueth off, let him leaue: for they are a rebellious house.

(Offenbarung 10,1-11)

Und er sprach zu mir: Menschensohn! Alles, was du vorfindest, iss! Iss diese Rolle und alsdann gehe hin und rede zu den Söhnen Israels.

Da öffnete ich meinen Mund und er gab mir jene Rolle zu essen

und sprach zu mir: Menschensohn! Dein Bauch esse und dein Inneres fülle sich mit dieser Rolle, die ich dir darreiche. Und ich aß und sie war in meinem Munde so süß wie Honig.

Hierauf sprach er zu mir: Menschensohn! Gehe hin zum Hause Israel und rede meine Worte zu ihnen.

Denn nicht zu einem Volke von unverständlicher Rede und unbekannter Sprache wirst du gesandt, sondern zum Hause Israel;

und nicht zu vielen Völkern von unverständlicher Rede und unbekannter Sprache, deren Worte du nicht verstehen könntest; ja, wenn du zu solchen gesendet würdest, so würden sie auf dich hören.

Aber das Haus Israel will nicht auf dich hören, weil sie auch auf mich nicht hören wollen, denn das ganze Haus Israel hat eine eherne Stirn und ein verstocktes Herz.

Doch siehe, ich will dein Angesicht stärker machen als ihr Angesicht und deine Stirne härter als ihre Stirn.

Wie Diamant und wie Kiesel mache ich dein Angesicht, fürchte dich nicht vor ihnen und erschrick nicht vor ihrem Angesichte; denn sie sind ein widerspenstiges Haus.

Weiter sprach er zu mir: Menschensohn! Alle meine Worte, die ich zu dir rede, nimm dir zu Herzen und höre sie mit deinen Ohren!

Und gehe hin, begib dich zu den Weggeführten, zu den Söhnen deines Volkes, und rede mit ihnen und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der Herr, Gott: Ob sie hören oder es lassen!

Da hob der Geist mich empor und ich vernahm hinter mir das Geräusch eines starken Getöses: Gepriesen sei die Herrlichkeit des Herrn von ihrer Stätte aus!

und das Rauschen des Flügelschlages der lebenden Wesen, deren Flügel aneinander schlugen und das Getöse der Räder bei den lebenden Wesen und das Geräusch eines starken Getöses.

Der Geist also hob mich empor und führte mich fort und ich ging im Unmute meines Geistes dahin, aber die Hand des Herrn war mit mir und stärkte mich.

Und ich kam zu den Fortgeführten, zu dem Haufen der neuen Früchte, zu denen, welche am Flusse Chobar wohnten, und setzte mich dorthin, wo sie saßen, und blieb daselbst sieben Tage trauernd in ihrer Mitte.

Hesekiel ist ein Wächter

Als aber sieben Tage um waren, erging das Wort des Herrn an mich also:

Menschensohn! Ich habe dich zum Wächter bestellt über das Haus Israel; wenn du aus meinem Munde ein Wort hörst, so verkünde es ihnen in meinem Namen.

Wenn ich zum Gottlosen spreche: Du wirst des Todes sterben! und du verkündest es ihm nicht und sagst es ihm nicht, damit er sich von seinem bösen Wege bekehre und lebe, so soll er, der Gottlose, wegen seiner Verschuldung dahinsterben, sein Blut jedoch werde ich von deiner Hand fordern.

Wenn du es aber dem Gottlosen verkündest und er hat sich nicht bekehrt von seinem Frevel und seinem gottlosen Wege, so wird er zwar durch seine Verschuldung dahinsterben, du aber hast deine Seele gerettet.

Aber auch wenn der gerechte sich von seiner Gerechtigkeit abwendet und Böses tut, so will ich ihm einen Anstoß vor ihm bereiten; er selbst soll sterben, weil du es ihm nicht verkündet hast; er wird in seiner Sünde dahinsterben und seiner Gerechtigkeit, die er geübt, soll nicht mehr gedacht werden, aber sein Blut werde ich von deiner Hand fordern.

Wenn du es aber dem Gerechten verkündet hast, dass der gerechte nicht sündigen soll, und dieser sündigt nicht, so wird er wahrlich leben; denn du hast es ihm verkündet und du hast deine Seele gerettet.

Und es kam über mich die Hand des Herrn und er sprach zu mir: Stehe auf und gehe hinaus in die Ebene, dort will ich mit dir reden.

Da machte ich mich auf und ging hinaus in die Ebene und siehe, dort stand die Herrlichkeit des Herrn, gleich jener Herrlichkeit, welche ich am Flusse Chobar gesehen, und ich fiel auf mein Angesicht nieder.

Doch der Geist kam über mich und stellte mich auf meine Füße und redete mit mir und sprach zu mir: Gehe in dein Haus und schließe dich darin ein!

Und du, Menschensohn! Siehe, Bande sind für dich bestimmt und man wird dich mit denselben binden und du sollst nicht aus ihrer Mitte frei hinweggehen.

Und ich werde dir die Zunge an deinem Gaumen kleben lassen, dass du verstummest und nicht mehr zum Strafprediger werdest, denn es ist ein widerspenstiges Haus.

Wenn ich aber zu dir reden werde, will ich deinen Mund öffnen und du sollst zu ihnen sprechen: So spricht der Herr, Gott: Wer hört, der höre: und wer es unterlässt, unterlasse es! denn es ist ein widerspenstiges Haus.
